I am so grateful for Cindy from Feline Friends. She managed to turn an incredibly stressful situation into a beautiful and perfect situation. am an employee at a different animal rescue and got a call about 2 kittens who were playing and hiding up car engines and in exhaust pipes at a dealership. After work that day I went to the dealership considering how dangerous that environment was for baby kittens. So I had no choice but to get them outta there. I was unable to make them mine as I currently have 7 animals. To make the situation even more stressful, I was already fully aware kitten season is overloading animal rescues all over south Florida, including the rescue where I work After calling around to any rescue I could for 4 days I called Feline Friends. Cindy told me they have no room for more kittens but that a gentlemen had left a voicemail for her earlier that morning asking about 2 female kittens about 8 weeks old. As fate would have it, my kittens were girls and around 8 weeks old. Cindy suggested I reach out to him and just 5 hours later I was handing over the baby girls to their new owners, who were 2 of the kindest people I’ve met. Thank you again Cindy for helping me, Paul, the 2 baby girls, and most importantly for all that you do for our “feline friends” in need.

I rescued a tiny 6 week old kitten who wandered into traffic at a red light while waiting for the light to turn green. When I first called this shelter, the owner was not feeling well and suggested I try some vets first, which was a good idea but both I visited had recently accepted strays, so they declined. I tried a couple other rescues and when nothing worked, I called the owner back & she agreed to take in this dear little kitten as a last resort. She instructed me to take the kitten to a vet she worked with and the employees were cheerful and the office very clean so I felt confident I was leaving this darling kitten in good hands. Some time later I asked to visit and Cindy very kindly obliged and let me visit the little guy. She mentioned she runs the entire thing by herself and I could not be more thankful a kind soul like her is caring for cats in need. I truly felt blessed to find her. I fell in love in the short time I had him & am so happy I found this place to find him a good home.

No STAR!!! My cat died because of the Director Cindy who runs this place!! Awful!! DO NOT, leave your cat in the care of this organization. The Director is rude and very unprofessional. I wouldn't trust any cat or person alone with her!! SHE IS A MONSTER!!

This is a wonderful adoption center, and Cindy, the director is tireless and passionate about her work. She vets potential adopters very, very carefully to ensure that she’s giving her cats a permanent, loving home. Let’s be honest, there are a lot of crazy people out there, and many people who aren’t 100% committed to having a pet, and Cindy won’t release her fur babies to anybody who doesn’t qualify as a loving, committed parent.

Cindy risks her own safety by visiting not-so-nice neighborhoods and feeding feral cat colonies. She also does her best to spay and neuter as many feral cats as possible, to decrease the population of at-risk cats. I happen to know that she’s worked 7 days a week for over a year. She does have volunteers, but Feline Friends is at capacity and these adorable furballs need a lot of care and a lot of love!

The fact that Feline Friends, or their wonderful Director, Cindy would receive ANY negative reviews just boggles my mind. Here’s a woman who has devoted her life to caring for cats that would likely be: 1) tortured or killed on the street 2) euthanized at a kill shelter, or 3) euthanized by animal control. A Google review from a woman who complains that her daughter wasn’t treated “right” as a volunteer only says something about the mother’s poor judgement, not the director. This place is about the CATS: keeping them healthy, keeping them happy, and placing them into good, loving homes. That is the purpose of Feline Friends, and an indignant mother posting a negative review because her little girl thinks the director was “mean” to her threatens the very existence of this adoption center, and the poor little kitties themselves. Other negative reviews are clearly coming from people who want to dump off their unwanted cats and become enraged when they’re turned away. This is an adoption center and their website clearly states that they are AT CAPACITY! Again, this is about the CATS. Not about the fact that you selfishly wanted to get rid of your cat in a place that would make you feel less guilty about being a deadbeat cat parent.

How do I know all this? Because my daughter has also volunteered there for over a year and has absolutely loved it. In that time, I’ve learned a lot about Feline Friends and everything they do for the feline community and have gotten to know Cindy as well. My daughter is a fierce advocate and protector of all animals, and if she ever saw so much as the slightest mistreatment of any Feline Friends resident, she would NOT have stayed. It is a wonderful, wonderful place and if you are looking to adopt a kitten or cat, do...

My daughter volunteered for Feline Friends and I must say from what she says from the business owner I never got a good vibe from this place. I decided to let my daughter volunteer as it is the very first place she volunteers outside of school. My daughter very much enjoyed being with the cats and caring for them. Recently my daughter tried to contact the owner, or Cindy, to reschedule a date to volunteer but she was very rude to her. Said that it was not a good weekend and hung up on her. It turns out, there was another situtuation going on that did not invlove my daughter but she was brought into the equation by Cindy anyway. My daughter was told she was not allowed to volunteer anymore. So my daughter decided she would leave a review about her honest opinion about her experience on Google. To then be threatened by Cindy calling her on her phone that if she would not take down the review she would be in trouble with the law and her volunteers hours would be taken away. I pesonally think it is very unproffesional to threaten minors and run a business as she does. My daughters review was not disrespectful in any way. Simply stated she enjoyed being with the cats but that volunteers were not treated fairly. If you are thinking about trying this place for your pets or to even give some of your "free" time to help I would think twice. They are very rude based on personal experience and MANY reviews I have read. And Cindy, please do NOT call me asking to take this down. This is my honest opinion and it's what Goggle reviews are for. If you don't like what people have to say about Feline Friends I suggest changing how you...

I had recently called this establishment interested in adopting a new kitten into my home. I had called asking if they were open for me to meet some kittens i was interested in adopting. My cat had recently passed away due to leukemia/HIV/heartworm and i felt as though my other cat was lonely. Now, I am writing this review for everyone to see, but specifically for the owner to see. I respect the abundance of knowledge that you have about cats, and the fact you apparently know about everything that has to do with cats since your husband is a vet (which you so clearly felt the need to annunciate on the phone with me along with comparing yourself to some cat guru claiming you know way more than them..which was very unnecessary). However the delivery of your information was far from professional. I do not know if thats how you speak to all your customers/people who call you on the phone and or in person, but i really hope its not. Again, I do truly appreciate the information you gave me on cats with leukemia, however I will not be adopting a kitten from your facility due to the lack of respect and professionalism towards others. That is not the kind of vibe I would like my future kitten to be surrounded by prior to adoption. So I hope you read this review and realize the way you speak to people and reflect on your actions. With that being said, I am not going to bring down your google review by giving you one star, however I do hope this is a wake up...
