I have been going to this store for 2 years now because I love the variety in the produce section and foreign products such as my favorite Brazilian coffee and the very affordable prices. BUT the customer service is EXTREMELY poor , ESPECIALLY at the deli and bakery area based on my experience. No one smiles or says: " hello how are you?" The staff does not seem to understand or know a single thing about how to greet the customer or respect the customer. If you are not Brazilian forget it! You will be given a poor treatment based on the fact that you speak English and treated like you do not belong there! It gets obnoxious and they make you feel UNWELCOMED if you do not speak Portuguese . I try to not go the bakery or deli and just grab other groceries in order to avoid the whole HOW DARE YOU NOT SPEAK PORTUGUESE looks and attitude to avoid an altercation.I understand that when you go to the an ethnic store or supermarket its charm and special experience comes from the fact that the staff and clientele add to the cultural touch with their language and traditions and I love and appreciate that but do not forget that you are in the US and that the least of the courtesies is to serve your clientele in the native language of this country or at least try and be kind about it !For example today I had to go to the deli and mind you the whole time I spoke in Spanish trying to explain to the lady behind the deli counter that she made me the wrong sandwich and another lady jumped in telling me that I should have brought it back when I actually only wanted to tell her to pay attention to the order customers place and not make mistakes with the ingredients. I was never asking for a refund or a remake and this very RUDE deli attendant just attacked me and had the most disrespectful attitude instead of just apologizing and offering a better and more efficient service! This lady kept arguing with me in the most petty manner like she was in some street corner catching a fight and did not seem to understand that a mistake was made and that all she had to do is apologize the the mistake (mistake are humans) , deescalate the situation and offer a solution or call a manager (that's what managers are for) and she did not have any self respect or respect for her job. I don't care if you make $5/ hour or $80/hour , take pride in what you do and deliver the very best! Thank God that I speak 5 languages and that I have the ability to adapt and communicate with people from different backgrounds . I spoke with the manager who was nice but seriously the Seabra owners and management please train your staff to smile, say thank you, say I am sorry if a mistake is made and VALUE the clientele who values your business: it's the very core of member appreciation and customer care! If they do not speak fluent English it's okay but they should try with the very basics and I am certain they can do that! You have a great store with all kind of great products, the only thing missing is the FRIENDLY HUMAN EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am certain that if you improve that Seabra will be the greatest Brazilian Supermarket...
Read moreHave to share that the 1 star review is for customer service. I was just there buying lots of products including a flan... When I was picking up the flan, the caramel sauce came out of the box into my all clothes including shoes. I went to the bathroom to clean and when realizing that was difficult to clean I went to the bakery and asked if they had something (product) that I could use to clean my clothes and shoes. The Brazilian lady that was there simply replied that I should go to the bathroom and clean with water because was not her fault since she was not the one who put there the flans.
I have to mention that all the boxes had the same problem....well, no one cared about, not even the "manager" Ivo who seemed very careless đ.
A Spanish gentlemen that was refilling the shelves was the only person that gave me a roll of paper that I could use to clean my clothes and shoes (I am dressed all white) and when I told him that the floor was still full with caramel, he went back and cleaned and also apologized! Something that I didn't get from the "manager" Ivo.
Just sharing a sad situation that created a review of 1 star that could be voided with a little care and a...
Read moreVery unprofessional and poor customer service. They change their prices like they change their minds . One day you order something at one price the next they up their price 3 times as much . I have been ordering mini coxinhas from them since November of 2020 I ordered them for family birthdays . They always were 50$ For 100 mjni coxinhas and I always pay half when order and half when I pick up .I also called the day before and asked for the prices bc I also wanted to know if they had mini empadinha so they still where $50 for 100 mini coxinhas This time I sent my husband in and he paid in full 53$ and some change when my husband went for pick up they charged him a extra 20$ I called the store and the general manager said he didnât know of any of the bakery prices or what that could do for me. He proceeded to tell me that food prices go up everyday and in turn that could be why they where more that day .Iâm so disappointed I really like the coxinhas but they will never have my business again . For me itâs really not about the money itâs about the...
