IHOP — Restaurant in Deerfield Beach

My friends and I came to this ihop around 11:45am May 12th, 2019. The waitress Melanie was not attentive whatsoever and was very defensive of the subpar food that was served. We waited about 20 minutes to be served our food and when we received it we were not impressed. Every dish that contained eggs had cold eggs that had unmelted cheese on them that had to get sent back. I received only one pancake for my pancake combo and Melanie pointed to it with her finger and stated that its the policy. Burnt hashbrowns on every plate. Underseasoned burger. Flaccid bacon (both turkey and pork). Pancakes were separating. My pancake in particular (the cannoli pancake) was underdone and when I pointed this out to Melanie she told me that that is how its served due to the filling (this is not my first time having it so I know that it is not cooked). I pulled the pancake apart to show her the doughyness of it that I felt in my mouth after two bites. Melanie also argue with my friend because my friend was disgusted that she served the food stacked on top of each other. (one bottom plate touching the food of another plate repeatedly). She yelled at my friend to not touch the plate and got an attitude. She did nothing about our complaints. Horrible server and horrible food. About 2 hours after that I experienced intense stomach cramps and nausea accompanied with diarrhea which I am still experiencing now May 13th. My friends suspect that it was due to eating raw pancake batter that could potentially have eggs inside of it. Do not...

Well, let's just say there is much this place needs in the realm of cleanliness. Not that it is filthy, just a tad on the "eww" side. Not the best iHop in the state of Florida by far. I hope I don't get sick.

When I arrived, around 2:30am, I was meet by Niadra(spelling), my server. She said the cook was on break and that she had to clean tables. No biggie, I thought, and gave the two person team the benefit of the doubt. 30 minutes later I was given a hastily wiped table and asked for Pepsi as my drink. 20 minutes later she came back and asked me what I'd like to have, I said Pepsi, thinking she was needing reminding about my drink, but she wanted my food order. I told her the Sirloin Tips. 10 minutes later she brought my drink in a to go cup, them 20 minutes later my food came...

As far as the food, Sirloin Tips, hash browns and two over medium eggs; honestly, it tasted like the food was cooked on a dirty grill. I could only eat half, because I was actually hungry, but couldn't do any more so I ordered more pancakes which came out too fast too have been freshly made.

I literally have a bad taste in my mouth.

I get the impression that the staff working would rather be somewhere else, but they're doing their job, as crazy as it may sound. Just wish the food didn't taste like dirty grill. The pancakes were ok, but only because the batter is iHop batter and iHop syrup.

Disappointed to say the least. Hopefully this is seen by management and appropriate steps are taken to correct...

This was THE worst IHOP I have ever visited.

We were a group of 4 and it was not terribly crowded.

We all placed our orders at the same time, however it took more than 1 hr 30mins for my food to arrive; long after two of the other guests in my group had finished their food.

The worst part about it was the lack of communication from the staff. We had to actively track them down repeatedly to ask for an update on our order, and we obviously couldn't leave because half of our party had already started eating.

We never got any refills for our coffee or water the entire time we were there; despite asking for it.

When my eggs Benedict order finally arrived, there was no hollandaise sauce, and it was the wrong one.

Another member of my group ordered toast and pancakes with their omelette; the omelette came right away and the toast and pancakes came more than an hour later. (How long does it take to make buttered toast? -__-)

The manager acknowledged that they were 'having issues' and offered us $10 off our meal as compensation for a totally unacceptable experience, while another group that had not waited as long as we did; received their meal free of cost.

Needless to say this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will continue to avoid this location in the future.
