I decided to actually sit in the restaraunt and order. I have ordered from this location several times and it definitely seems like a majority of Unique Park's customers are pick up so the dine in area is not full. So you have plenty of tables to choose from.
I must add it costs almost double to dine in and eat than it did to pick up. The waitress informed me she could not bill me now but did not add that this was due to the pricing being a lot more.
The food was fresh, temperature was great -hot but not too hot that I needed to wait to eat my food-, plates were a decent size (I had food left over), and the waitress checked on my table at the right times (I never had to wait or call on her).
The lighting was quite dim in the entire restaraunt so it was a dark like an actual bar but I felt this was not suitable for the dining area. The look itself could be improved because it did seem dark and made the restaurant look less spacious than it really was.
The staff was not extremely friendly(not much talkers) but certainly were diligent workers and had manners. They cleaned most of all the materials used immediately after use.
The procedure of ordering your food was not organized (but it was not messy to the degree that you were skipped or not called on) so you have to stand and wait to be called on.
I have eaten at this restaurant before they moved to this location and I would definitely say management has improved on service and food quality. You will be extremely pleased...
Read moreAuthentic Haitian Cuisine, But Service Needs Improvement Food Quality: ★★★★☆ The food at this Haitian restaurant is very authentic and delicious. The flavors are spot-on, and the dishes are prepared with care and attention to traditional recipes. Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ While the restaurant itself is quite spacious and could accommodate a lively dining experience, the atmosphere falls flat due to the lack of dine-in customers. Most people seem to opt for takeout orders, which leaves the dining area feeling empty and lacking in energy. Service: ★★☆☆☆ Unfortunately, the customer service at this establishment is where it falls short. The staff seems disinterested or overwhelmed, which likely contributes to the lack of dine-in patrons. Improving the quality of service could go a long way in encouraging more customers to enjoy their meals on-site. Overall: ★★★☆☆ If you're looking for authentic Haitian cuisine, this restaurant delivers on that front. However, the lackluster service and atmosphere make it less appealing for a sit-down dining experience. Addressing the customer service issues could potentially transform this eatery into a more inviting and enjoyable destination for those seeking to savor Haitian flavors in a...
Read moreWas in the mood for Haitian food and promised food to my coworker. Google led me here, odd name for a restaurant though. Ordered takeout and had it in 15 minutes or so. Elaine was really friendly when I called about Dijon Dijon, Legume, and directions, was even friendlier once I arrived, this really made me feel good because I don’t eat Haitian food a lot, every restaurant is different and I also want to make sure it’s right and this requires asking questions and patient wait staff. Elaine said that Dijon-Dijon is made every day at this restaurant, I never heard of this practice before. Yum!!! My coworker said he doesn’t like Dijon-Dijon but ate it and asked me for the location so that he could buy more. The legume was extremely tasty and the portions huge. I planned to eat half and the other the next day, but at 9pm, I finished the rest off. Every Legume I have ever eaten has had one small piece of beef and a solid, clean pork or beef bone in it, this place is no exception. Even though it would mean passing many other Haitian restaurants, I definitely will...
