I have two Windows 10 computers in my home. The primary was working fine, the back-up was having a problem with the Wi-Fi controller - failing to consistently connect and stay connected to my Xfinity Wi-fi. Connected fine with the router The back-up is a private build device that is 8y old with a hard drive, the primary is 4y old with an SDI. I walked in to In2 Computers on Friday with my back-up PC and described the problem as above. It was diagnosed on the spot as a failed Wi-Fi controller. But wait, there's more. The underlying problem was the hard drive that had several blocks that weren't accessible (the hard drive was corrupted). It takes some very knowledgeable computer repairmen - guys that have been working on computers for years - to go deep enough to permanently fix what at first glance is a simple problem (just replace the Wi-Fi controller). In2 Computers examined the hard drive (via Scan Disk), cloned it, then removed it, replaced it with an SDI, all in one day. The performance (boot up) improved by at least 100% with the new SDI. What used to take several minutes for the computer to boot up, took just seconds. All my installed software and files were preserved in the cloning process. The transition to the SDI was flawless. After boot-up my PC connected flawlessly to my router and then the internet. I was so impressed with the new performance of an 8y old back-up computer, that I brought my 4y old primary in for a tune-up. It had a functional SDI but the SDI was old and an inferior (cheap) product. In2 COmputers cloned the old SDI, installed a new more reliable one and I experienced the same massive improvement in boot-up speed even on this relatively new primary PC. Pricing for the upgrades on these two PCs was fair. During the diagnosis process I never felt pressured to buy what In2 Computers was offering. I trusted the sensible and understandable diagnosis, clear explanation of problems, and the benefits of Wi-Fi controller and SDI upgrades. We brought our computer here for what we thought would be a simple repair — a screen issue that we paid $250 to have fixed. Unfortunately, not only was the job poorly done (the screen still wiggles and doesn’t sit properly), but now we're experiencing other issues with the computer that we never had before bringing it in.

When we tried to bring this up with the owner, instead of being helpful or understanding, he immediately got defensive and rude, as if we were accusing him of intentionally damaging something — which we never did. We just wanted the issue resolved properly.

He likes to boast when you first walk in about being in business for so many years — don’t believe the hype. Longevity doesn’t mean quality. Also, don’t trust the positive Google reviews — it’s obvious that many of the bad ones are buried by fake 5-star ratings from friends and family.

We regret bringing our computer here and would strongly suggest going somewhere else. You deserve better service...
