This was my first time here. They were busy, and short staffed it seemed like. We got our waters right away and our drink orders came quickly as well. The waitress brought out crayons for the kids which entertained them long enough for the food to arrive. We ordered calamari which didn't take TOO long to get to us, it tasted fresh and not rubbery at all. My entree was the hibachi lobster with steak and my husband ordered hibachi steak with chicken. The entrees come with soup, salad, veggies and fried rice. The soup arrived soon after our appetizer, but the salad was almost forgotten, it arrived immediately before our entree after I mentioned we hadn't gotten it yet. The soup is more of a broth with a few veggies floating around inside, but it tasted good & I got salad with miso dressing which was delicious.
The only issue I had with my entree was the preparation of the lobster. The waitress asked the kitchen how it was prepared and we got 2 different answers. I requested the lobster be removed from the shell and diced while being cooked, then returned to the shell as usual. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive that way. It appeared to still be attached to the shell and I had to cut it up (which is no easy task when juggling 4.5 & 1.5 year olds.) Regardless of that, the entire meal was excellent...having to chop up the lobster was only a minor inconvenience.
For dessert, we ordered the deep fried icecream. It was okay, I just wish the ice cream used was higher quality and creamier. It was a little "icy", if you know what I mean.
Overall, I left full but not overly stuffed which is exactly how I like it and I really don't have any bad things to say about our experience. We will be back when I'm in the mood for teriyaki anything, and I look forward to trying some of their...
Read moreI'd like to give their food a good review, but when you spend 85 dollars and can't even feed five people, buyer beware!!!! Yes, their food might be made from scratch, it might be a single serving (80oz), BUT GUESS WHAT, that doesn't say that anywhere on their website. So, if you are thinking of the many millions of other places that sell this type of food, NO YOU WILL NOT GET, a pint of protein with sauce and then rice. You will get a black, SMALL (Not an entree) meal to go. (Oh Yes, we took it to go.) Then when your amazing four kids come home hungry, they will start to worry that they are not going to have any food. We, the parents, put in a pizza. So $85 for the kiddos, which are SO WORTH IT! If I could add a pick, I would. We purchased, sweet and sour chicken $17.95 (grilled, not fried, BUT YOU CAN ASK FOR THAT) but we didn't know that either, not on their website. Yes, so it's grilled. We ordered their signature dish, sesame chicken $17.95, SO was so Small, it would have left me hungry. We ordered Mango Curry $18.95, came in a soup container, good thing I ordered extra Rice for $3 Oh, and that extra $3 rice is NOT a quart, this is less than a pint. Then we ordered Pad Thai Noodles $16.95. My daughter and her best friend just arrived to eat, let's hope almost a $100 bucks takes care of the two boys and two girls. Yes, It's Friday, I'm hungry and very annoyed, as I eat my frozen pizza.
I did call and talk with them, but guess what, they are high-end!!!! "We are not like other places," I get it, but I would have been so unhappy if that was what I got in-house. My kids are completely hilarious laughing that I spent this, they ate it, and they say it's just like the other places, I guess the...
Read moreA huge fan of Habatchi, just not a fan of this place. First off, Pacific Bistro? Doesn't sound like your typical sushi Habatchi restaurant. None the less, it's only a name I guess. The visit there was for a friend's birthday. We all decided we would get apps and drinks to start. The drinks arrived, watered-down, the apps tasted like they were cooked in a microwave. Lacking flavor on both the Manhattan drink and the egg rolls. We all ordered the Habatchi dinners except one member of our group wanted a shrimp dinner that was not part of the Habatchi experience. When she told the waitress what she wanted, the waitress forced her to place a habatchi order as it was not allowed to order a dinner at the Habatchi table, seriously? The dinner wait took 40 min just for the "Chef" to arrive. The salad was light in flavor, even with the ginger dressing. The soup was probably the most above average dish that was made. The veggies were undercooked and unseasoned, the steak was overcooked even after everyone verified with the chef on doneness and the scallops were forgotten and when they were recieved ,the texture was gelatinous and cool in the center. The Chef was very unappealing and lacked any personality. He was quiet and kept to himself even after any attempt of a conversation was made. The waitress was not that much better. She made little effort in following up with drink orders or removing the excess amount of empty drinks and dishware. Overall the best part of the visit was catching up with our family and friends. I feel if we decided to eat at Panda Express ,we would've been happier. Sad that a fast food chain could one up this place. First time eating here and will be the last...
