2/5 Stars - Not Family-Friendly
Positives: Great location, responsive maintenance, and beautiful apartments with lots of natural light, high ceilings, and wonderful large kitchens.
Major Concerns for Families:
Inconsistent Policy Enforcement: Management seems to cater to adult residents with pets rather than families. Management confronted us, claiming children under 14 cannot be anywhere on the property without constant adult companionship - a rule that doesn't exist in our lease - while an inoperable vehicle violated clear lease terms for 8+ weeks without action.
Hostile Environment: Management actively solicited complaints about children from other residents. Parents now hesitate to let children play outside due to fear of eviction, and our child was made to feel unwanted in their own home community. This contrasts sharply with family-friendly communities that encourage outdoor play.
Unresponsive Management: We submitted a professional letter requesting policy clarification within 10 business days. No response after two weeks - not even acknowledgment of receipt of the letter.
Building Issues: Poor sound insulation between floors (footsteps extremely loud), and several residents reported moisture/mold problems. There are a lot of insects as this is a new build in an area that had been mostly fields and trees. Doors are not well sealed at the bottom from outside debris.
Bottom Line: If you have children, look elsewhere. Management's approach suggests they prefer adult-only residents despite not advertising as such. Our child played outside without issues at previous residences and is thriving in our new family-friendly community.

Read moreThe worst experience I’ve ever had trying to rent an apartment. It’s been over two weeks since I applied and I know I meet all the qualifications. I’ve followed up in person, with phone calls, with emails, and the status remains at “it’s been sent to the property manager for approval.” They seem to never answer the phone, and they have returned zero phone messages or emails. I have received exactly one communication from them which was an email asking for a piece of information and I responded to that promptly. I’ve even called Oakwood Management and spoke to someone there who assured me this was not their norm and she would be following up. I also have not heard back from her. The place we ended up going had us with keys in hand within 48 hours of applying. I’m glad it worked out this way because if this is how Mill23 communicates before you live there I can’t imagine what it’s like to deal with them about any issues while living there. Read moreThese are the best apartments in the Columbus metro area! Angie the property manager and Rashid in maintenance are an absolute all-star team! Rashid is so kind, courteous, and soft spoken it was really nice both times I had to put in a maintenance request. Although our 9 short months there came to an end because of work relocation, Angie made the whole process easy, with step-by-step instructions and came over on our move-out day to do a walk-through. I had one of their ADA units and I recommended them to advertise them more, I know if the public knew of the accommodations they had for disabled individuals, people would flock over there.
