Eagle Landing — Local services in Denton

Beware: rude service! I would have given this place 3 stars if it wasn’t for the horrible service and rude behavior from servers after waiting 10+ minutes in line at Avenue A.

When I finally got up to the window that had what I wanted, I asked politely for lemon rice and curry chicken. They looked very busy so I wasn’t expecting them to fix it immediately but a few moments turned into 5 minutes. They literally ignored me standing there saying my order and fixed plates for the servers they work with instead of mine…in front of my face.

I was gonna leave and eat something else but I was not gonna go to another line and wait 10+ minutes AGAIN. When he finally gave me my food he didn’t even have the decency to hand it to me and apologize. He put it on top of the glass and I had to grab it. The cherry on top was when i found only one piece of chicken.

I’m very aware that having short staff can be stressful and lengthen the wait, but that was downright rude behavior. Not sure what was going on behind the scenes but taking it out on a stranger is not the answer.

I like this dining hall b/c of the variety and options but after that experience I’m gonna eat elsewhere for awhile. Watching them fix their coworkers plates in front students who’ve been waiting in line for over 10 minutes is...

Given we are coming up in thanksgiving break, I wanted go to the dining hall, Eagle Landing, to use my swipes. Since i’m heading out of town for the holidays, I brought my own containers from home, since they don’t provide any unlike other universities, to take my food with me. As I was leaving, I was stopped my 2 employees and was told to throw my food away. When I asked why, she said that I was not allowed to take my food out of the dining hall. I asked where I could find that rule and she couldn’t give me an answer. In the end, I went ahead and threw it out since it wasn’t worth the hassle, but I already paid for the food and I will not get that swipe back.

My issue is no only was it wasteful to have me throw away my food that I already purchased, but my didn’t the university make it known that students can not take food out of the dining hall? I looked on the website and couldn’t find anything regarding that. It is very ignorant to tell people where they can and...

I just wasn't a big fan of the place I mean I should've figured $10 sounded too good to be true and I was right the food is not even hot it's mid and luke warm, drinks don't come out cold from the fountain machines, seating didn't look too great I noticed lots of dirt and filth around the tables, the fact that you have to go in the back and return your dishes that you used to eat your food to them is just very unusual to me cause I've been to plenty of buffets to where once your done with your food the waiter comes by to get the dirty dishes, there just seems to be nothing redeemable about this place at all unless y'all were just having an off night I'm never coming back...
