Beautiful modern LEED certified building with lots of offices, large event rooms, food choices, and amenities for students. Some restaurants include: Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Corner Store (has a variety of fresh and frozen foods and also sells Scrappy's ice cream, which is made on campus), Avesta, Chick-Fil-A, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Taco Bueno, Burger King, Which Wich, Fuzzy's, and a food court that serves pizza, burgers, salads, etc. Some of the restaurants, (like Fuzzy's) have late night hours. Most of the food is overpriced compared to off-campus, but it's convenient. Easily accessible location for the most part, but parking might be confusing if you are a visitor. Valet parking is available outside the building on weekdays. You can also self-park in the highland street or the union circle parking garage. The building conveniently connects to the ESSC (student services center) and exits by the library mall and admin building. The grounds are well-maintained. There's a new sculpture out front by Highland St. and there's plenty of seating inside and...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to pass time. The scenery is good and the sitting areas are typically clean. Most times the seating areas are crowded and noisy, but that is to be expected. I haven't had much experience with the food here, but from the little experience I've had and from what I've heard it is best to look elsewhere. The quality doesn't typically live up to expectations. I'm disappointed also that UNT would do business with Chickf-il-A. I've had a class in the Lyceum before, and it was generally a decent experience. The bathrooms are always clean, and (unlike most other bathrooms on campus) always has soap in at least one dispenser! Woohoo! There are many other things I could say about the Union, but aside from what I've said, it is generally a good place to...
Read moreAn excellent hub for students. Within walking distance of most residence halls and classes, the Union a good place to hang out in the morning and between classes. There are a number of study areas and dining options - my favorite is the Campus Chat on the second floor - so you can study or snack (or both) between classes. The building is very clean, including the restrooms which are regularly cleaned throughout the day. The Union is also connected to most of Denton's buses, providing easy access to Discovery Park and...
