Clean Your Dirty Face — Local services in Denver

I just went to Clean Your Dirty Face for the first time. Full disclosure, I received my service for free due to a partnership with another business where I am a member.

I received a 30 minute detox facial with Claire. She evaluated my skin to determine I needed the detox facial which made sense - I have oily and acne prone skin. She turned on the steamer (love!) and began with a cleanser, followed by an exfoliant, mask which also involved ice rollers, toner, facial oil, and sunscreen. She spent a lot of time massaging the products in, especially the facial oil, which felt really good and was so relaxing. She explained each product to me as we went. I have to say, all of the products smell freaking amazing which I love.

She showed me some products at the end but I did not feel pressured to buy them. The owner also explained their membership to me at the end but I again did not feel pressured. Overall it was a good experience, even though it started about 5 minutes late yet ended on time, resulting in a 25 minute experience rather than 30. It still felt like enough time, however, I did not select any enhancements that would add to how much work they are fitting into such a short time window. (On that note, when I come back, I definitely want to try the nano restore eyes, which is unique and sounds like an awesome enhancement. I feel like most facials ignore the eye area which is unfortunate!)

Overall I would recommend coming here for a quick facial. It was efficient and while the basic facial is not earth shattering my skin definitely feels smoother which was my overall goal! Plus they have lots of targeted enhancements so you can customize. It would be really fun to come with a friend since you can be right next to each...

It was first facial and I came in SO excited. I got a pamphlet for the shop from Luv Bridal and thought now would be the perfect time to start my bridal facials. I went in and opted for the “virgin” facial on the pamphlet and marked the services offered through that virgin facial on my paper. (3 services) The girl Mallory said oh I see you opted for the virgin facial, I said yes. She spent the 30 minutes doing that and at the end asked if I wanted SPF- which I didn’t know if it was extra or not but said yes. When I went to check out the girl at the front had no idea what she was doing, she had to have Mallory help her check out 3 girls while I was there. I told her I already was charged for the facial and had just gotten a receipt to my email for the $35. Then Mallory said she had to charge me for the services provided in addition to the facial.. but the only services I marked off were the services already offered in the facial, and when I asked what was going on she just repeated that she was charging me for the facial and for the services.. even though- again- the only services I got were included in the virgin $35 facial. Somehow I left the store paying $89 total. Not only that but I honestly cannot say I see a difference in my skin. I been doing serious facials my entire life! I got a complimentary facial for the location on south pearl. The lady who did my facial was friendly . I was not expecting anything big just a quick facial. Was nothing special Even it was complementary I updated it for 35dollars more. When I finished I use a credit card to pay, I also did tip on the top of the $35 dollars. When I got home and few hours later I checked my email I saw a receipt for the service, with $19.50 cents tip on the top of $35 dollars. Honestly I did not tip $19.50 cents not even close. It would be way over 50%. My question is why $19.50cents? Well I got the answer, the facial it would be $60 dollars if wasn’t complementary, and I did a upgrade of $35dollars. So they charge my tip on the top of $95dollars with out warning you! It’s even legal? so I ended up paying $54dollars ! Completely unprofessional!
