Visited Washington Park with our 3 kids (7, 5, and 3), and overall it was a good experience! The park is beautiful and well-maintained, but a bit spread out — something to keep in mind if you’ve got multiple young kids.

✅ Walking Track: My wife loved it. Peaceful, safe, and the perfect loop for a relaxing walk while still staying nearby.

✅ Playground: Fun and engaging, but split into different sections. Made it tricky to keep an eye on all three kids at once.

🐿️ Extra Bonus: Our eldest had a blast running around and chasing squirrels — total highlight for him!

👶 Toddler Experience: Our 3-year-old enjoyed wandering but needed closer supervision with how spread out things were.

If you have multiple kids, just be prepared to stay on your toes. Still, a lovely spot for families to explore, walk, and play. Would definitely come again — just with a bit of...

Visited from California. Strolled and rented a surrey bike to ride around this semi-shaded park which has 2 lakes, 2 fun playgrounds (1 across from the Boathouse/rental shop is for younger kids), flower gardens. This was perfect for a warm-ish day. Btw, single surrey and peddle boats were both $28/hr+tax. They have other rentals available too.

Btw, the Farmers Market on South Peak Street on Sunday is a must if you like checking out local merchants especially for food and produce.

Really fun and unique park, perfect for people of all ages! There is a lot to do here- many slides, swings, sand pit, climbing structures, volleyball courts. Plenty of green space for picnics or disc golf and lots of places to sit. I love the more ‘natural’ look to this playground.

The park was very clean but I wish there were bathrooms on site.

About half the people when we went were...

Wow! I am so happy I came here for a relaxing afternoon. Washington Park is a phenomenal place for every person. There are gardens flowing with beautiful and stunning flowers for picnics. There are designated areas for grilling! In addition, there are playgrounds for kids and families. There are also nets set up for volleyball. I didn't even know there were two lakes here!
