Abbey Tavern Visit 🍀 Finding Comfort and Flavor at Abbey Tavern! 🍀 Last night, Cassie and I decided to shake things up a bit 🔄 after another spot switched up their menu on us. We landed at the Abbey Tavern on Colfax in Denver, and let me tell you, it was a serendipitous twist of fate! 🌟 Parking was a bit of a hunt 🚗, with the lot being on the smaller side, but I snagged a spot on the street nearby, no sweat 💦. The vibes inside? Pure gold 🏅. The service was top-notch—friendly faces all around 😊, making us feel right at home 🏡. And the food? Absolute fire 🔥! We split a Shepherd's Pie 🥧 and The Abbey Rolls. That pie—thick diced top sirloin with veggies 🥕 in a savory herb gravy, topped with crusted mashed potatoes ($17.95)—had me closing my eyes, savoring the comfort with every bite 😌. As for the Abbey Rolls ($12.95)—corned beef Irish egg rolls 🍀 with a toned-down horseradish and mustard sauce—even a cabbage skeptic like me was converted. We're definitely hitting up this Irish gem again 💎. The whole place was buzzing, everyone enjoying their night with games 🎲 and good company 🤗. Can't wait for our next visit!

Overall, the atmosphere at The Abbey Tavern is very pleasant, homey even. My wife and I went recently as a "just because" date night and found the food very much to our liking, and the service was incredible. We started our meal off with the pretzel bites that were out of this world. I got the Shepherd's Pie, and my wife had the Ruben (not pictured). The pie was pretty amazing! The texture of the mashed potatoes blended very well with the meat gravy filling. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carried Guinness 0 (non alcoholic) as it is one of the only non-alcoholic beers that actually tastes like beer. I appreciate that addition to our meal over something like O'douls. Our only complaint isn't really a complaint but rather an observation that the Ruben did not contain Sauerkraut and, therefore, it is not truly a Ruben. The coleslaw used as a substitute did not detract from the flavour, however.

Ordering off their own drinks menu I asked for Boddington but was told they are out . My son asked for a Carlsberg but that was also out . His girlfriend asked for a Seltzer drink and that was also out . Great start here . Looked this place up as a Liverpool supporters pub as my son has just moved here and also to watch the England v Italy Euro final . I’ve been around Liverpool games all my life and I’m pretty much used to banter of all sorts but unfortunately I found many of the crowd here weren’t actually supporting either team but just hating on England for their own bitter reasons I guess. My sons verdict was that he won’t be following Liverpool from here this season but will find another bar were people wearing Liverpool shirts with names of an England player on it won’t be F bombing that players country for two hours . Food was delicious. Congratulations Italy for a good win .

My husband and I love to come to this place. The food is so good, the environment is great, and it’s a fun place to watch some soccer or other sports. I took my husband here for his birthday last night along with some of our friends and family. The food was excellent as usual, they were very nice setting us up at a table near the window. It was all mostly pleasant. We just had one complaint about the waitress being a little odd. Our waitress kept rubbing my husband’s back and not just casually like very uncomfortably and hands-on. And then sometimes she would be very touchy with others in our party. At one point my husband even said he thought it was me rubbing his back because that’s how I rub his back and looked over and it was the waitress. We appreciate the good food and had a good time. But I would like to suggest for the comfort of patrons that management might consider some coaching on touching customers without consent because you do not know everyone’s comfort level with that. Especially when the person is a complete...

The food and drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was very fun for a Liverpool game. The only downside it the fact that it is allowed to save a whole booth fitting at least 6 people, by 1 person for over 2 hours. I came with my party of 4, at the time where we were told it was going to open, to find 3 booths being saved by 1 person. We had to sit outside, in 15 degree weather. It would be nice to implement a policy where your whole party has to be present in order to be sat, or keep up with the dates and times they are opening early in order to be fully informed. Once again, the waitress was great, the food and drinks were amazing, but it was not very fun sitting outside under heaters that were supposedly on but could not be felt. The waitress even said that the heaters don’t really work until it’s 20 degrees or higher. The outside atmosphere would have been bearable had there have been more heaters or the ones...
