Stumbled into this spot before a show at Lost Lake. Pretty quiet at 8p on a Wednesday but had some pleasant chat with the handful of people there. Wyatt is an excellent, personable bartender and we had a great conversation with him. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the bar and restrooms were (like seriously pristine). I often find gay bars to be too rowdy or just quiet and depressing though R&R was neither--seemingly a place where everyone can feel comfortable. The only reason for docking a star is that the drinks were expensive. Our four basic cocktails shook out to over $50 pre tip, which I feel is too pricey for this type of place on East Colfax. However I know the neighborhood around there is becoming swankier plus skimpflation, so maybe I just need to recalibrate.
That said, we learned the bar recently changed hands to the same owner as Trade, so I hope they keep things the same but consider making drinks more affordable.
I'll plan to come back for happy hour and hopefully be able to stretch my drinking budget further and hang out for longer!...

Upon arriving, I was not greeted but the vibe was welcoming which is good enough for me. The bartender, Matt was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. It was sorta busy and Matt was the only bartender there.
Despite how busy it was, he was awesome and made sure everyone was set. The crowd is friendly and it can be loud sometimes but it shows that people are just having a good time. You don't have to be apart of the Lgbtq+ community either. The R&R Lounge welcomes anyone. It's the perfect place to decompress after a long day because of it's vibe and mild dark lighting, but still is pretty well lit.
It is definitely one of those hole in the wall dive bars that you can't skip. Thanks to Matt for the great service and friendliness. The R&R Lounge is conveniently located off of Colfax and I live nearby so it's too convenient... I...

The bathrooms are rarely super clean but that can be expected at a place like this. We come here every time we visit from Estes Park. It's an unassuming place from the outside but worth the trip a bit farther down Colfax. It's never overwhelmingly hot or crowded there which is nice. Unlike Charlies where you can't step in any direction without bumping into someone...
