I recently had the pleasure of revisiting Mod Livin', and I can confidently say it's a gem of a store for anyone in search of modern and mid-century furniture and accessories. Every time I visit, I am impressed by the variety and quality of their offerings that I can't find anywhere else in this city. They had more offerings than Design Within Reach! And vintage!

What truly sets Mod Live apart, however, is the exceptional service provided by the owner, Craig. Craig's passion for design is evident in his curated collection, and his knowledge of modern furniture is unparalleled. During my visit, he went above and beyond to assist me in finding the perfect chair, offering valuable insights and even recommending complementary styles that I hadn't considered before.

Not only is Craig incredibly knowledgeable, but he's also genuinely friendly and approachable. He made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in, and his honesty and transparency are truly refreshing. Unlike other furniture stores where I've felt pressured or ignored, my experience at Mod Livin was nothing short of delightful.

We walked in with an idea of what we'd like... along with our paltry budget (for a sofa that is...), and found a great selection of choices at Mod Livin'. They carry both Blu Dot and Gus upholstered furniture and we (finally) found choices (plural!) that we could use in our compact home. If you need furniture that fits into a CITY sized living space, there are good options here. The prices of the contemporary modern styles were about half what we were seeing on price tags elsewhere (for new AND used). The Gus sofa that we chose was just the right softness and sturdiness - we really believe this one will last and we won't constantly be reshaping the cushions. The textile choices for the upholstered furniture are perfect in that you won't be stuck with a dumb pattern that only matches... errr... matches nothing. On top of all this, Mod Livin's manager, Amanda was very knowledgeable and helpful as we tried to choose one out of 3 good picks, but she was also considerate of our preference to look around on our own before getting into questions, etc. She was as friendly as a friend and we enjoyed chatting and talking about good design. Mod Livin' also has great pieces of vintage, collectable furniture that we would have liked to have picked up had we the extra budget right now. Oh, did I mention they have a 10%...

I love Mod Livin '! This is my go-to spot for terrific new and vintage furniture and home design. The vintage collection is changing all the time, and you never know what you're going to see (and then HAVE to have), and the new items perfectly compliment both modern and retro style. The Mod Livin' crew is extremely friendly and helpful, and you immediately feel at ease and as if you're talking with a friend. There is zero pressure, and you're invited to spend as much time as you'd like looking around (and there's a lot of ground to cover - it's deceptively huge).
