Horrible, horrible. On Monday I went in needing a cam walker for a larger calf. Gentleman was very nice and said he can get it custom made, no problem, his guy was the best. I asked if i could have it by the end of the week. He said absolutely not a problem. His guy can get it to him. Friday morning, nothing. So i call, all the their shipments are in and they don't have my camwalker. So am i mad, yes extremely, I asked ahead of time if it could be done and i was told no problem, not maybe, not let me check, but no problem. So i have things planned for the weekend and I need it. So he does not want to hear this and tries to come up with a solution. i go in and he puts something together and i say will this be good until the other one comes in. Here is where he tells me he cancelled the other order, he did not trust it was going out today and shipping for CA would take seven days, he was not going to drop $70 for overnight. I told him he should have called me, I would have paid the shipping, but he did not let me be part of the decision. So he is putting all these pieces together and i tell him this looks bad and he said i was thinking of functionality. Oh really so at three am, if have to get up and use the restroom my dr. said put the walker back on, so think i would have to put these piece back together at 3am. i don't anyone who is coherent to do that in the middle of the night, so not so functional. I tell him he should not have cancelled the order, i asked for a temporary ankle brace. But is not about the customer it is about how he can fix it and he say he fixed it. so now I have nothing, He tells me i want to argue, and i said no, I want him to to admit he is wrong, he should not have said his guy is the best, because as of today, he could not trust him, and he could get it in the week, he should have kept the order and not cancelled it and he should have asked me if I want to pay the extra shipping. Admit he was wrong, not at all, just kept saying he was trying to make me happy. I said that would have been keeping the order, shipping i would have paid and giving me a temporary boot up to the ankle. good customer service would have said, okay, i will h ave it shipped overnight, i will give you an ankle boot, etc. But admit he is wrong...no bad...
Read moreIf you can avoid going to Lake Surgical please do. I just received a lecture about their 50 yrs of service to the community. Well I have been there many times, having lived in Morris County for 55 yr. The attitude of the management is hit and miss over the yrs. You would think since they are serving people who are often in an emotional turmoil they would at least try to hide their contempt. Last month, after my husband suddenly losing his ability to walk I was in such a state. I rented a transport chair from a nice man. In my confusion I thought I also purchased a transfer belt. In the AM I called and reached a rather intollerent man. When I looked for the belt it was nowhere to be found. I called and asked had I left it? Or did I lose it? In that conversation I thought I heard him ask for my phone number, so I asked, "Did he?" With that I heard a deep long sigh.?! I asked him why? Was he chastising me? His answer "he was not a confrontational person." I said, then check your reviews online.. He put me on hold, came back in a moment and finished. In my excitment the night before, I had neglected to buy the belt. This morning I returned the rental. The man checked me out. I told him the chair was not very helpful, due to the small wheels it was difficult to use. I have a cobblestone patio and it wouldn't go over the smallest curb. It was what I asked for tho. With that he told me " After 50 yrs in business, satisfying customers....." Then he said this was my second complaint on the same order? First of all the belt issue was an inquiry. The second was a comment. Transfer chairs with small wheels are good for flat surfaces. This man lost substantial business for the store on the first incident. I immediately whent to Tabeek Medical in Lincoln Park. Charles Tabeek is a very nice helpful man. With 5 star review. I purchased a belt and a walker there. I then purchased a wheelchair online from the maker for less than I could buy it elsewhere, plus free shipping. I will now find a way to never go there again. Kindness counts My responce to your still nasty self. No Charels did not detail out a wheelchair for me. We could not afford to purchase US made. I spent hours researching and found one we hope will serve the purpose. Thank you for your kindness in our...
Read moreLake Surgical Supply has been providing my elderly mother (age 95+) and my family with products, advice and service for over ten years. Carmen, Brian, Leo, Mark and Chris are just some of the professionals who have helped us. We purchased two lift chairs for mom and my husband. Lake Surgical made sure we ordered the proper fit. At delivery, my mom was invited to sit in her new chair and Lake Surgical patiently stayed until she was comfortable with how to operate the chair. Recently, my mother was discharged from the Wound Care Center and we needed a gauze-like toe protection product. I didn't know the name of what I needed. I called Lake Surgical and described the item. Carmen knew right away what I was looking for, put in an order and in a couple days, I had what I needed. When Covid-19 first hit, they kept their business open and made every effort to order and provide masks, gloves and antibacterial products when it was so difficult to obtain these items. These are just a few examples of my very positive experiences with Lake Surgical. They are timely, knowledgeable, and give excellent customer service in a caring and friendly way. Their inventory of medical supplies is extensive. If it's not on the shelf, they will order it. In closing, I want to thank Lake Surgical for helping my mother with her many medical needs which have allowed her to enjoy a safe and...
