I went to see Andrea at The Lounge Hair Studio this Saturday. This was about the 5th time she was doing my hair, and the last time she'd finally gotten the highlight shade right and gave me a cool cut. So I was excited for Saturday. Until Saturday afternoon when my husband came home and asked me what the hell they did to the back of my hair. I then realized that I hadn't even looked at the back. That is when I found that Andrea, had taken a big "chunk" out of a layer, and my hair was completely crooked and awful in the back. The worst part is it was then that I realized that Andrea knew what she had done, but didn't show me the back of my hair before I left, and let me walk out of the salon looking that way. To me, that is the worst part, that she just didn't care. What truly disgusted me was that I wrote an email to the owners, and then went back to the salon last night. I spent an HOUR of my time having my hair cut and cut until I walked out with hair that looks like a soccer mom's bowl cut. I have no options but to wear it in a tiny pony tail until it grows out and I can go to a better salon and have it cut into a style I like. The Owner Mina did not offer me any money back, she did not offer a discount for my next visit. She didn't even give me a free product. She did not apologize, instead she made Andrea come out and half-halfheartedly apologize to me (can you say awkward?). So, if you feel this is the way people should run their business, by all means, go to The Lounge. I won't be there, I'll be getting my hair done by people that care enough to do a good job, and know how to make it right when they fail. I’ve been taking care of my hair for 6 months before I decided to get a devacut and pentura highlights before going on vacation. The receptionist didn’t tell me I had to have my hair down so I had it up. So she wet my hair and have me a trim instead of sculpting every curl like it’s supposed to be. Then she gave me regular highlights that you can’t even see when they’re supposed to be “hand painted”. She didn’t even wanna use devacurl products on me and I even use them at home! She didn’t wanna give me a hairstyle so I could see the shape like she is supposed to because she had another customer who was her neighbor.
