Back in August 2021 I got the worst news of my life, I found out I had cancer and had to have emergency surgery and then start chemo the following month. I knew I would lose all my hair, including the hair on my face and my first thought was to microblade my brows, which is something I’ve always wanted to do but now I decided I was going to treat myself and take control of what little I could. I was referred to Sharron at Vanity & Mascara by a good friend of mine and this was the BEST thing I’ve done for myself. Not only did Sharron do an amazing job, but she was very accommodating knowing that since I had to start chemo so quickly I was only going to do one session and couldn’t do the touch up after 8w like most people can do. So I did one session and she made sure to make the brows as “fluffy” as possible to ensure they would stay while I went through my treatment. The process was extremely easy and painless. And I walked out of there with the most AMAZING brows. And best of all they lasted for me. So while I had to shave my beautiful hair and lost my eyelashes, I was able to look in the mirror and see myself still. I didn’t have to draw in my brows every single day and I felt confident. If you have to go through the hardest process of your life it is 1,000% worth it to microblade before you start treatment. I am SO GLAD I did this! And Sharron was kind, compassionate, professional and she did a beautiful job. I loved my brows so much that even after finishing chemo and being declared cancer free (yay) I went back to get them touched up again and I will continue to do so. It is so worth it! This was my 1st time having microblading done on my brows and in doing some research I came across a lot of great reviews of Sharron’s amazing work. I am a product of 90’s over plucked eyebrows and my brows now have a beautiful, full and natural look to them. No need to fill in sparse brows anymore or worry about them coming off during the day. I just finished my 2nd session and I’ve already gotten tons of compliments on them! There wasn’t a lot of peeling or really awkward stages during the healing process for me. It takes 2 sessions to get the desired look but both sessions are included in the price. Sharron makes sure you are part of the process and happy with the progress throughout the sessions. She will make any necessary adjustments to your liking and offers her professional opinion along the way which I was very grateful for. I am also very happy with the pigment she helped select for me. With microblading being the hottest trend I’ve seen some hot mess eye brows out there lately and I wasn’t leaving my brows to just anyone so I definitely did my research before I let just anyone put their hands on my brows. All I can say is Vanity and Mascara has it down!!!! Sharon is professional and comforting. She will answer all your questions and make sure you know exactly what to expect before anything is done, she is an over the top perfectionist making sure every detail of your brows are done to complete perfection, the room is clean, she is experienced, and unlike some of these other people doing microblading Sharon has had extensive training on the technique and takes her craft very serious. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of my brows. Just when I thought they looked unbelievable I went back for the touch up and that is when Sharon really works her magic and I couldn’t believe it was even possible for them to look any better but that final touch up was amazing.
