Southridge Square — Local services in Des Moines

Apparently there seems to be some confusion among the local guides that this review can help clear up. Southridge Square, NORTH of Army Post Road and west of E 14th Street, is still very much in business and awaiting your patronage. The stores and large parking area might need some refreshing, but they show no signs of leaving any time soon. Southridge Mall, SOUTH of Army Post Road, while also needing your shopping dollars, is an entirely different operation. Many of the stores and restaurants mentioned in reviews here have been transposed between the two. While it's convenient to have so many shopping opportunities concentrated in such a relatively small geographic area, it's important to be accurate when passing out information. Personally, I find both these shopping centers much easier to get into and out of if I need something in a hurry, or want to actually check out an item before purchasing. We could certainly stand to have more stores on the Southside. Its great to see growth happening, all Southsiders just want to be able to drive down the street and get things we want instead of head West, like Chik-fil-A for example or Red Lobster. How about a Cane's? These places would bring revenue here. Just as the clothing stores do, but we need a better selection and quality. I'm so tired out driving...
