El Parrandero Sports & Bar — Restaurant in Des Moines

This place is disgusting and I will never eat here again. I was with my family here today and I ordered the al pastor. My whole family was already half way done with their food before I got mine and what they gave me was not al pastor it was just the stake but, I let it go. As I started making the first taco a live roach came walking out from under the stake. My family as soon as we saw is they stopped eating. We showed the worker and he took the plate back and a woman working came to the table laughing if we wanted another one. This ignorant woman found it to be funny everytime she came by our table she smiled and giggled about it. Then handed up the bill and still made us pay didn't discount anything or say sorry it's on us. All she did was take off the meal the roach was in then giggled about it some more. I will never be back to this place. And the cup of water I asked for had black stuff in the bottom of the glass. This place needs to...

Wish I could give this place less than 1 star, horrible experience all around, especially the food. Menu is way too small to even read what they have so I asked our waitress, she had to ask if they had Chili Colorado which they told her yes so I ordered. 5min later she comes back and says no they don't have it. Ok then I order flour tacos and my significant other orders chicken quesadillas. Mind you this entire time we can barely hear each other talk as they are literally blasting Mexican Music from a boombox behind the bar. Tacos had no flavor at all, cold and the meat had coagulated from the grease, flour shell tasted just like that, flour. Quesadillas were literally plated on grease or more likely a heavy oil that left a very nasty taste in your mouth. This location I swear is cursed as there have been many people try to make it work. 11/15/24 I ordered delivery. My order was chili Rellenos (my favorite) and chicken with spinach in cheese sauce. Both were excellent in flavor. This is a very good restaurant

6/14/24 i ordered chili Rellenos and it was perfect with lots of cheese. I also, ordered the seafood chimichanga and the shrimp was very rubbery. Not good at all.
