TL Sea Diving — Local services in Des Moines

My husband and I recently moved here and had our Scubapro regs serviced at a different (large) shop close to us, but when we asked how we could check our gear you'd have thought we asked for the moon. We were treated very coldly there. I did a lot of research and when I thought I found the right shop for us she said that she was no longer in business- but she recommended T L Sea Diving. I am SO glad she did! They are far from us, about 45 minutes one way, so I hadn't even looked at that area for potential shops. If she hadn't recommended them I'd never have found TL Sea!

Tim, Dave, and Dan were so friendly. They're all very knowledgeable and very nice guys. We're AOW divers and just wanted to check our gear out for a bit before our dive trip and they were really welcoming to us.

4 years ago I brought my daughter to TL Sea Diving to learn to scuba dive (and for me a refresher). I'm so glad I did! Dave, Phil and Steve were the absolute best - they were patient, kind and responsive, answering every question and giving guidance when they needed to. They have the nack of making you feel as if you are on a private course when in reality you are in a group all learning to dive - that should tell you about their attention to you a learner diver! My daughter and I quickly progressed to the advanced open water with them and even the dry suit certification (if your in NW area you will need it) each time we received the best training. I would rate TL Sea higher if I could. I took my PADI open water class with Dave and his team and I can't say enough good things about this operation! They are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. I was a little nervous about the cold water and a few of the required skills, but Dave put me at complete ease with his teaching style.
