I just had my first taste of Moe Vegan today. The food was excellent! I had the chicken wrap and shrimp tacos. This was some of the tastiest food I've ever had. The dessert was excellent as well. I also felt good after eating the food; I didn't have that fool, stuffy feeling afterwards. I'm a customer for life. I hope they grow this into a chain.
Before I purchased, I asked everyone that came in what they thought. They all said the food was delicious!
I can't imagine anyone complaining about price and portions. It's a vegan restaurant! They're all priced like this because of their associated cost. If you want to stuff your face, then go to a buffet— I say that kindly. If you want to eat unhealthy food, you'll get gobs of junk for low prices. It's relative!!! I've been vegetarian for 7 years now, and I know how difficult it is to find meatless, tasty, healthy food.
The place had a steady stream of pick-up customers, but the dining room was not packed. I could sit down and enjoy a pleasant, tasty meal. That also told me the food must reheat well. We all know that some restaurant food is already tasting different once it cools down.
I'm a big fan, and I'm happy I found this place. I'm definitely a once-a-week customer from...
Read moreI love vegan establishments and firmly believe we need more of them. I'll give this place the benefit of the doubt as it's a new establishment, and I'll assume that they are planning on adding food to the menu.
That said, I think there were 4-5 burger options and one wrap as far as non-fries go. The photos on Google of deserts, nachos, hot dogs, etc. did not exist...
The food tasted fine - all the burgers are Beyond Patties. This could be a pro or a con depending on your opinions, but I think they make up for it with the toppings and sauces. However, sauces weren't listed on the ordering tablet. The portions were pretty small for the prices ($42 for one burger, one chicken wrap, and an order of cajun fries).
The space is a bit small, but they do what they can with some cool neon and solid music. About half of the floor plan is blocked off for a "high roller" section (a pool table and a TV) which, of course, costs more money.
The staff did seem attentive to different customers which was...
Read moreThis place is still finding their feet, with promising qualities and a couple missteps.
First the good: the taste of the food is excellent. Great, punchy flavors and thoughtful combinations
The needs work: service is friendly but can be quite slow and if you need something there's oftentimes nobody keeping an eye on the front of house, it feels very much focused on take away rather than dine in the inconsistency of their lemonade is wild. sometimes it's a perfect blend of sour and sweet, others it's off the charts undrinkably sweet the size of their portions is quite small. I'm usually wanting more despite paying for a full entree price point. The quality is excellent but the cost to value ratio doesn't really compare to something like QuickieToo as a place that sought crowds funding in order to open, the fact that they then turned around and created a pool table area that you have to pay to be in doesn't feel inviting or community...
