DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Des Peres

Beware all boxes will be missing parts - I watched this happen. Let me explain - the family was going snowboarding. We bought boards and bindings off craigslist - these were all great. We then bought 1 pair of bindings from Dick's - the trouble began. When I tried to attach the bindings the box was missing parts. 45 minutes back to West County Dick's the next day (I live in Illinois). I was nice and told them the parts were not included - these were not cheap bindings. The Dick's employee gave me a bag of parts from some other box on the shelf. Guess what - wrong parts. 45 minutes back to Dick's. I had to speak to two managers, it took about an hour but I finally got the parts for the one set of bindings (again from another box). So 3 trips in 3 days to get one pair of bindings. Beware - I watched the employees and managers rob the other boxes of parts. I give them two stars because they have a great selection, but customer service here is nonexistent and they’re actually rude. My cashier was ringing me up and unfolded a shirt to pull out a piece of cardboard, and then proceeded to roll the shirt up, and I said Please stop. I’m going to fold the shirt and he kept rolling the shirt and I said I’m going to fold it, he rolled his eyes and said I mean, how else are you going to fold the shirt, so I proceeded to show him how the shirt was folded and explain to him that I was going to fold it back the way all of the shirts in the store are folded and placed on the shelves. His attitude and comment was entirely unnecessary and generally just weird. After I said that to him, he just kinda shook his head and then proceeded to try to have a friendly conversation with me, but at that point, we obviously have nothing else to talk about. One of my favorite locations for finding out door supplies! A friend of mine and I were shopping for a couple of kayaks and found a great deal here on two different models, one of which, was on sale for about 50% off original pricing! Both are excellent kayaks and we have had a lot of fun with them! Sales person ever very helpful and even loaded the kayaks into our van! You can't do much better than this can you? We returned kama a few months later, and found a great deal on a perception sit on top kayak which included a seat! We purchased two of these 9.5 foot sit on top kayaks, which they also loaded for us! Since then I have purchased one more kayak from this location, a 10 foot Pelican! Keep up the...
