The Nordstrom Anniversary sale makes no business sense and is very frustrating to customers who do not hold a Nordstrom credit card. I stopped in with my mom to look at some shoes, and I found a pair that I absolutely loved. I had seen them about a week ago when I was walking through the store (before this anniversary sale began), but I did not have time to stop and try them on. When I was discussing the price with the sales associate today I was told that they were typically $110, but were on sale for $88 with the anniversary sale. She let me know that you had to be a Nordstrom credit card holder to get "early access" to the anniversary sale. I said that I wasn't interested in opening a credit card and I was willing to pay full price for them. The sales associate let me know that they are unable to sell them to me for full price and I have to open a credit card to be able to buy them. I thought this was completely absurd and I asked another sales associate to confirm. Again, I was told that I would be unable to purchase them if I did not have a Nordstrom credit card. Since I was at the mall, I decided to go to a different store to purchase the shoes. I paid the full $110 dollars at Finish Line down the hall. This bothered me because the Nordstrom sales associates were so nice, and I wanted to give them my business. Not only is this frustrating to customers, because I would have been able to purchase them last week, but I cannot purchase them this week due to the sale, it also makes no business sense. Nordstrom is already struggling financially and they are losing customers due to this sale. I completely understand having the sale price only available to credit card holders, but only allowing credit card holders to purchase the shoes makes no sense. I walked out of the store empty handed when I was fully willing to pay full price. All in all, I am frustrated with corporate Nordstrom and their...
Read moreMy experience was ok all the way until check out. I dont know what issue the sales rep Zahra M. had but it took everything in me to keep my peace and just walk away…. I really felt disrespected when I went to check out so I had her check for 2 pairs of shoes in the walker size for children after discussing what color to get to go with my daughter dress we went with the purple pair. She kept one pair behind the counter I advised her we was going to go with the purple pair…. She checked me out , but had to get my change from another register. While patiently waiting for her to return I was speaking with another customer whom couldn’t decide on which shoes to get her daughter. I convinced her to get both as they were really pretty. When Ms. Zahra arrived back to the register she places $15 on the counter. I assumed ones she collects all the change from her drawer she would hand it to me. she takes out $1.26 so I hold out my hand over the $15 again assuming she was going to pick it up and place all of it in my hand no she still places the remainder of the change on top of the $15 that was laying on the counter. I dont know rather to feel discriminated against as she was being racist or just extremely disrespected for no reason. So I collectively picked up my change and walked away very disappointed, and...
Read moreThey only value and remember their wealthy customers. Despite spending a few thousand each year, when I come into the store and sometimes dressed in my jogging outfit or whatever it might be...they seem to judge really fast. Very inappropriate! I also return or exchange on occasions when I dont like the product and if I am not happy with it, and they seem to get offended and one time despite having proof of purchase from online they would not accept it because my product had no tag on it. Thats just not Nordstrom. Things have changed and I am not going to shop there any longer. It seems they only made the store and their policies for the wealthy people of america.
Also if they know that you have returned items on occasions even if it is legitimate and you had proof of purchase next time you come in you will not even be approached instead the employees whisper and talk about customers behind customers backs. They make it seem like the customer has done something illegal or inappropriate they make you feel bad for returning something you dont like or are not satisfied with.
Well I am sorry Nordstrom but I will not spend my money there. There are plenty of other stores and online shops where I do not have to encounter this type of behaviour and customer services based on...
