The LEGO® Store West County — Local services in Des Peres

This isn’t necessarily on the store or their staff this is more about LEGO online. I made a purchase of a couple of E-gift cards to buy a 1989 batmobile on line. I go to look the next day to check on the status and I see my order is canceled with no email sent to me to let me know. So I check to see if my gift cards got the balances back on it and I can reorder and nothing is there. So I call customer service in the morning and they said they will look into it.

No communication back so I call back the evening to talk to someone to see what they found. What they found was that my account was blocked from making any purchase online with them because they thought it was a fraud purchase. So I was like ok how can I get this change. I was told that I can’t.... I was like ok what about my purchase. The customer service looked into it for me and they came back and said they could give me the purchase price back on a gift card so I could go to the store to get what I wanted. I was cool. I give her my gift card info and she said I’ll be right back. She comes back and said now they have to refund me for the gift card purchase. I ask how long will that take and she said 2-3 weeks cause they are backed up on returns.....

I asked to speak to a supervisor. After talking with the supervisor nothing really changed in the situation. With being a 1st time LEGO store and online buyer this is a horrible experience and the lack of communication made me feel like I was doing something wrong/ illegal.

Makes me really sad cause I would like to be a LEGO collector and this left a bad...

Took my grandson to Lego store for a day for just us. Ate lunch and went shopping. He is 5 and loves marvel, Harry Potter, and we'll, just about anything Lego related. He was in heaven. Ran around and just couldn't contain his enthusiasm. It was pretty cool. The gentleman that helped us was having fun watching him. They picked out a couple of small single guys and we also got a small Harry Potter set and grandpa picked up Trafalger Square. The selection is good and the young man that was there was knowledgeable. My grandson wanted a 3po key chain. He asked the man if it was rare and he told him " it must be, it's gold ". He HAD to have it. LOL While leaving he wanted to ride the escalators. After ne got off he hollered that this was the best day ever. Made the folks that heard him laugh. Thanks to Lego west county for truly making a good memory for both of us. If you are a Lego fan it is well...

Love the Lego Store, really I do ! Great selection and knowledgeable staff. My only complaint isn't so much with the store itself, it's the prices Lego charges for there products !! Lego almost went out of business I believe in the late 90s but then turned it around and nowadays they just charge outrageous prices and I feel it's because they know kids are going to bug their parents until they get what they want but as an adult collector, most of the sets I want for several hundreds of dollars, I think the Lego needs to do a little soul searching and maybe lower the price a little bit and even the gift with purchase doesn't seem to be up to par like it was a year ago.
