West County Center - Food Court — Restaurant in Des Peres

I dont usually leave reviews but here goes.

Bbq beans more like refried beans with bbq sauce they were a literal paste. Didnt know you could overcook beans until this place. Pulled chicken like warm rubbery and dry. Pulled brisket. Hot warm tender and chewy. Let me explain that. Tender means it was cooked right. Chewy meant it sat in a vat so long it became tough on the outside. Green beans I was surprised were grilled. But then like the chopped brisket sat in a vat and were sorta soggy. And another first for me covered in grease. Greasy green beans yuck. Texas toast. Nope no garlic or butter it was white bread toasted on one side. Bread and butter pickles nope sweet dill slices. White onion sliced raw not messed up thank goodness. So I wont be going here again. 2 stars for being eddible.

YUM! Shopping with grandsons - everyone wanted something different so they each got $20 & foraged for lunch in the food court. It had to include something nutritious but get whatever they wanted - no deserts yet. We all got really good food, talked, tasted each other's food like we always do & basically had a great time.
