Arrived around 7pm yesterday to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and we were seated after a short wait. Once at our table, our waitress immediately asked for our drink order and food order without introducing herself (I think her name was Riana but I’m not 100% sure). My girlfriend got the blueberry lemon drop martini and I got water. I recieved my water in a small plastic Togo cup because she said they were out of cups. Strange because the table seated next to us got regular cups 2 mins after us. Not a big deal. My girlfriend also asked for a water but never received it. I ordered the hot honey chicken pizza and my girlfriend ordered the chipotle chicken pizza without onions since she has an allergy to them. Our waitress didn’t know if the onions could be taken off but said she would check. My girlfriend said she would get the Hawaiian pizza instead if it couldn’t be taken off. We were served a chipotle chicken pizza with onions but didn’t want to wait to have it remade so we switched pizzas. Our server never checked on us or filled up my water and was on her phone behind the bar. Now I’m annoyed because there’s nothing more annoying than watching employees on their phone in front of customers needing service. We finished eating and were planning on ordering the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert but our server came by and put the check down without even asking if we were done or wanted dessert. I needed a to go box for the leftover pizza but she ran away so fast I couldn’t catch her and had to ask for one from the bartender. It had been a terrible experience and we were more than ready to go so I just paid and left to forget about it. On a positive note the food was great but the experience was not worth the 70 dollars including tip that I paid. I expected better California...
Read moreMy husband and I went to eat here earlier today. Our server was Art. I ordered the lunch combo thing with a California club pizza and a Cesar salad. Art asked me if I wanted chicken and I initially thought this was strange because I thought the pizza came with chicken and bacon, so I assumed I misread and that it was a choice chicken or bacon, and I answered chicken. When my food arrived there was my Cesar salad and a sandwich on the plate. I debated saying anything at all except I wanted the pizza and when I realized the sandwich had mayo on it I knew that I would not eat it. I went up to the bar to speak with the worker there, she didn't really help at all just sent Art over to our table (I get it but she was short with me and so first mistake for me). Art comes over and I explain that I had wanted the pizza and not a sandwich, he explains that he asked me if I wanted turkey or chicken and I said chicken so that would mean that I wanted the sandwich, but he would fix it. Unfortunately, the language barrier between us confused the initial question and I understand where the discrepancy had happened but he was quite rude when he came over and tried to argue with me about what I ordered. As someone who has worked in the food industry for 3 years and my husband who has over 10 years in food it really did not sit right with us that he would argue and be rude to the customer. I got up and I found someone else to speak with about the problem, at this point I did not want anything from them. They did offer to correct the mistake, get me a new waiter, desert, the food to go, I mean they tried (which is why they get two stars instead of one) but I really just wanted to leave. I was very uncomfortable with Art, and we will likely never return to...
Read moreMy family of 5 went here tonight (kids 7,5 and 2). We were told it would be a 15 min wait, so we put our number in with the hostess and waited. We saw several parties walk right in to get seated, but still we patiently waited assuming they were on the list before us. It was approaching 45 min and we finally went to the hostess stand, explained we have not got a text update, and she kept trying to retake my information down to get on a list for seating. Tried to explain to her we had been waiting for 30 min longer than we were told, but she was not connecting the dots and still going to make us put our information in. We had 3 hungry kids, it was now 7:30 and we have zero faith we would be seated and have food in any reasonable timeline based on our experience thus far. They said they got a rush of people, yet there were multiple open seats in the front area by the hostess stand and they were actively sitting people that were newly walking in (sitting there for 45 min trust me we watched). We live about 30 min from the mall, and so by the time our family got to eat any food it was 9 o’clock (and at home). I have worked in restaurants and know things come up but there was zero apologies for what had occurred and no explanation as to why MY family had to wait 45 min, while others after us walked right in: You should not quote people 15 min and then not update them along the way in the text messages or anything. Wasted almost an hour of our lives to end up with zero food or faith in this...
