Earthbound Trading Co. — Local services in Des Peres

I have shopped here before and had a really great experience. I went in today looking at jewelry with a couple of my friends. As I am looking at the jewelry, the employee was asking if I was doing okay and I said yes thank you. I then proceeded to look at more jewelry when a different employee walked up to me and said “ I’m gonna need you to get everything that you have stolen out of your bags and then leave the store.” So erm that’s awko bc I’ve never stolen nor was I in this moment. I told her exactly that and pulled everything out of my shopping bags. She then looked very embarrassed and said well she just told me a yellow shirt and also yelled for the other employees to tell her who it was. As someone who has worked in retail before, this is not how you go about stealing nor is it appropriate to yell it across the store. Overall, I think they were just trying to embarrass me for something I did not do. Will never be going back bc that was the rudest thing I have ever seen. I also never received an apology for that behavior which was wildly inappropriate. I learned that these employees are rude and stupid to be walking up to people and be doing that....

I have been to this location before and the customer service was great. But as soon as I walked in today I was immediately followed around the store. We were shopping for my sisters birthday gifts and were followed by two different employees. Other customers came in and were not followed like we were. Earthbound has a wide selection of items which also changes out a fair amount, so it's never boring to take a peak at their items. The staff at this store were all very kind and helped out a ton.
