I typically am not one to go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but I really felt like I needed to for this. I had recently lost a fairly large amount of weight, somewhere between 50 to 60 lb. I was in need of knowing what' my current measurements are, as I really feel kind of lost when it comes to clothing and clothes sizes due to the large weight loss. Due to the fact that it was a dress store, I thought that they would be able to assist me with this. Most stores do not do measurements like that (bust, hip, waist) but because they sell dresses at Camille I know they do measurements, especially due to the nature of the dresses they sell. There was literally not another person in the store, I very kindly asked the woman at the front desk if she could assist me and helping me find my new measurement. She then responded very rudely, scoffed at me, and told me in a very rude tone of voice 'well yeah, but only if you plan to try on some dresses'. I actually am getting married in a few months and had been considering purchasing a reception dress and before asking the woman for help had definitely thought some of the dresses in that store look very Pretty and could work for my vision. However, due to the way the employee chose to respond to me, essentially automatically assuming that I had no intentions of trying on dresses, and the overall attitude she gave off of not wanting to seem to help me at all in the first place I decided to just leave and not bother with it. Just left me feeling very frustrated, disappointed, and a very bad taste in my mouth for this store. I understand that they want to assist customers whom they believe will actually purchased from their store, but this woman had already made up her mind about me before I could really even tell her why I was there in the first place. If I were to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress, I would recommend taking your money and time elsewhere, as this was not a pleasant interaction, and I would not want someone else who is trying to find a dress for a happy occasion to have to feel...

I don't usually leave reviews, but I absolutely had to after my and a friend's experiences. I went prom dress shopping over my spring break, and dressed very casually because I knew I was going to be trying on clothes. I did not wear anything fancy, or anything expensive, but I got rude looks from a lot of the workers in the store. My friend went a day later than me (a poc) and said one worker in particular racially profiled her, and followed her and her mother around the store the entire time they were there. This lady did not follow any other customer, only my friend, and stared them down as they left. She also stated that this worker ripped the dress out of her hands when she went to hand it back after she was finished trying it on. My friend's mother reported this worker to another lady at the desk, who shrugged her off very rudely and did not attempt in any way to fix the situation. Also, the dress I picked out had a broken snap on the back, just like a lot of other reviews here state. I think it's unbelievable that your clothes are unrefundable when your workers are acting like this, and the dresses aren't even that high of a quality if you're selling them broken. Will not be returning until the workers are properly trained and your clothing is assured to be of the best quality when it goes up...

Updated! 5/10/22 - They did it again! Could not be any more pleased with this store! Our GO-TO formal dress shop! Needed a prom dress and this is the only store we needed to go to! Found “THE” dress on our first visit! The ladies assisting us were all extremely helpful and attentive! They even offered the option of using “Zip” for a payment plan. Needless to say, the dress has received TONS of compliments! (see pic) Once again, Camille La Vie has ensured my and my daughter’s continued business, for years to come!

Original review: After hours of unsuccessful searching for a Homecoming dress, we walked into Camille La Vie! TONS of selection! Great prices! The staff was AMAZING!!! They found several dresses in the size we needed in seconds! My daughter tried on a few dresses and then found “the one”! I will never waste my time looking anywhere else, moving forward! Luckily, my daughter is a freshman and we will have many years to enjoy this store! You have made us lifetime customers!!! Also, we are telling EVERYONE!
