Terrible customer service. The man literally shook his hand in my face. My husband and I went in to get rings and the sales staff were very attentive and offered several different options. We both got our rings and after further inspection of my I saw that it was damaged. It looked like the ring was broken and then put back together crooked. I went in to the store about a month later to speak with them about it. I walked up to the counter and said “Hey I was wondering if” and the guy shook his head no waved his hand and pointed to a lady and said “ You have a customer”. I tried to show the lady the damage and she looked at it under the microscope and said no it’s fine but if you want to return it then fine and started doing a return. No one asked if I wanted it repaired or a new one or a different ring or anything. So she’s doing the return and when she’s done I ask for my original receipt. She said you never gave it to me. I said well then how did you do the return. Later I call customer service about my experience and they were sympathetic and offered to have the manager call me. The manager called me and completely ignored the fact that the employees were rude and kept telling me I should have had the ring custom ordered and it shouldn’t have been sized that small at all. Well no one ever told me this or even gave me the option of custom ordering. They just pushed us into getting a ring then pushed us into getting a credit card. We are pretty passive people so when they just pushed and pushed we gave in. I will never go back to this location. The manger never apologized once and just said well if you want it we can order it. Maybe I look poor or something. You should never shake your hand in someone’s face ever. I’m only giving two stars because my husbands ring...
Read moreHorrible customer service when it comes to repairs/lifetime warranty. Forget about even getting it because, come a few years down the road when the piece of jewelry is so worn out and diamonds are falling out left and right, they will not replace your item. Bought a ring with a lifetime warranty and they told me(spoke to Felicia on the phone AND the oriental lady, possibly name is Elizabeth when I dropped the ring off) If the ring is too far gone to repair and if they had that same ring in stock, they would switch it out. And if they didn’t, store credit. Well, they told me they didn’t still have the ring in stock so store credit it was, which I was fine with. As I’m browsing throughout the store, I come across THE EXACT SAME RING. Asked them(Elizabeth) why they can’t switch out my ring for this one like they said they would. “We already did the store credit so we can’t”. We get pretty heated at this point because what in the hell is the purpose of paying for the lifetime warranty when it won’t even last 3 years. Told them we wanted to speak to a manager, she goes back in a room then comes back “she’s in a meeting”. Well we will wait she says there’s nothing they can do and that if I wanted that ring I’d have to pay the difference. So, F it. I paid it so we could leave. Asked if my lifetime warranty that we ALREADY PAID FOR would go towards this ring, nope. HORRIBLE AND WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. Didn’t even try to make it right after I caught them trying to get one over on us. Go to Kay’s or anywhere else besides getting treated...
Read moreMy experience with Helzberg was the absolute worst. I received a ring as a gift from here a few years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, after a few years the stone fell out without any notice (unfortunate, but it happens). I went to the store and we picked out a new stone and they said they would call once complete in 4-6 weeks. after multiple times calling 2.5 months later they finally returned my call and said it was ready. I went to the store to pick up the ring and it was the wrong color stone! I had to go through this process again and when I went to pick up the ring the Chesterfield store was closed permanently, without any notice! I finally figured out where my ring was which was at West County Mall. I got my ring and it looked similar to the stone we had chosen but they never resized it which we had discussed. I took the ring anyways and within a few months the prongs were catching on EVERYTHING. When I explained my frustration with the gentlemen, who then told his manager (man with the long slicked back hair who would not come talk to me directly) they said I could buy a $70 insurance plan but they would not do anything to help me unless I wanted to pay for it. I took the ring and refused to never come back. The whole 6 month process trying to get this ring fixed and I still can't wear it. I understand why the store went out of business and I will not be a...
