Upon entering the door the place smelled awful, I should have followed my instinct and walked right back but took a chance in hopes that the smell wasn't from anything I wanted. Ordered my bag of beef bones and drove 30 miles home to only to learn that the smell in the store was the same awful smell from the meat market; rotten. I called the phone number on the receipt and asked for manager and he told to bring back. When I presented him with the bag of bad smelling meat he asked if I had let them know that I was buying these bones for my dog, to which I answered NO. Irritated at the thought that they feel spoiled meat is okay for my dog, and the fact I was using my EBT card (food stamp card) to by meat for my dog was crazy. I was not issued a refund for the spoiled meat, only an exchange, something about not being able to add funds back onto EBT card. Since I've never tried to return food purchased with EBT card, I for forced into accepting an exchange. I opted for chicken wings instead of beef for the exchange; low and behold spoiled wings were mixed in with unspoiled. Had to throw out the whole bag, which was food taken from my family's plates. I'm disgusted just writing about it, but felt the need to get this out there. Hope it will prevent anyone else from going through what I went through shopping at this...

Absolutely amazing. I go there on a regular basis and they not only have awesome prices on all of their meats but the quality is impeccable. They have Ribeye steaks for $8.99/lb, NY Strips for $7.99/lb, Beef Roasts for $4.99/lb and awesome prices on ground round hamburger as well, I bought 10/lbs for $33 last time I was down there. I 100% highly recommend this place if you are down there and if not it's worth the drive hands down best meat market. The NY Strips I buy are the most tender pieces of steak I have ever had....

My favorite store in the eastern market, I got a bag of lamb chops, 3lbs of oxtails, a spare rib a big beef rib, some hot sausages and something to drink all for 110 dollars, I really appreciate this place I had enough left to go get sides, and confident I can feel my family of 4, for the whole month this place is really a gem, times has been so hard I could literally cry knowing that...
