We attended the 2022 Detroit Harvest Festival and WOW!!! We were so impressed with quality of this event! Admission was just $5 each and for that you got: lots of really good bands playing throughout the day (our favorites were a band playing Mexican and Spanish music and ANPB - a band playing music from the 30s!!!); 50 food trucks; and lots of wonderful fun for the kids like stations set up for truck or treating (lots of kids were in costume!!), a pumpkin patch were you picked one then went next door to decorate it, blow up playthings, rides, etc. And it seemed like almost everyone brought a dog (all very well behaved). Signature landmark murals that have been there for YEARS, JUST GONE. Highly disappointing. History that told stories have been painted over, most likely to monetize the blank canvas. I say that because more recent paintings (2014-present) are still there, and now have plaques of the artist's name next to it. I get the want to change the city to appeal a certain group of people 🙄😒 However, don't come to the city erasing the history and uniqueness that drew those same...
