first, the positives:
⢠despite going on a saturday, there was no one in the store but my bf and i! so we basically had our own private little date ⢠there was an array of colors and charms to use! we picked out a good amount ⢠the charms were also of different variety, good for mix and matching ⢠there was example cases, mirrors, etc. set up for inspiration ⢠the process of making our cases was messy, but still fun! it was an enjoyable diy project. ⢠the area this place is in is packed with food, drinks, and a lot of asian shops. we had kbbq before we did this (miss gogi) and it was delicious
now, the negatives: ⢠the customer service was non existent. the girl in there barely spoke and greeted us. she didnât really give any instructions, which, i guess if youâve ever heard of this place, youâd know what youâre doing (benefit of the doubt) but still, more instructions wouldâve been nice. my bf for example had no idea what he was doing fr, and instructions for 3 seconds doesnât really help have a fun experience! ⢠what also couldâve helped the customer service was maybe describing decoden and exactly what it is. just little tweaks to make the experience more fun and enjoyable. all the girl did was sit on her phone the entire time we were in there⌠like huh? ⢠the bathroom was honestly disgusting lol! looked like it hadnât been cleaned EVER ⢠some of the tools needed to be cleaned, i.e some of the tweezers. there were still remnants of glue on them which made it a bit harder to pick up charms and place them
all in all, it was an okay experience that couldâve been better with stronger customer service. i donât need to be yapped to the entire time, but more instructions would be helpful and make the experience even more fun! we also spent $74 in total for two cases, which makes slight sense considering decoden isnât cheap, but the overall experience couldâve been waaay better with that...
Read moreSo i just want to preface this by saying it was our first time here and the experience it's was a cute idea but everything else was either lackluster or confusing. We went for my nieces birthday and the first thing that was unprofessional off the bat was that no one greeted us when we walked in. We were very confused as to who was an employee and who was a customer as the only employee there didn't speak to us at first. Secondly, there are no prices listed so we didn't even realize how expensive everything was until the very end. Thirdly, I've seen this company on Instagram and so i had an idea of how i thought everything would go as far as charm picking and whatnot but we were not given instructions or baskets to hold our charms in resulting in us mainly using our hands which was pretty wonky. And lastly, and most importantly, i think the biggest issue we had was that we were told that those who decorated mirrors had to come back to pick it up in a week, while those who defeated phone cases could take it home the same day....but we all used the same glue type stuff. When asked if the phone cases could stay to ensure that the kids taking them home didn't accidentally mess up their pieces, the employee told us no because she needed to save space on a table for any mirrors people made and to "Just keep the lid on the case closed" which made no sense to us because why do the mirrors have to stay and dry but not the phone cases? Or why couldn't we all just take our pieces home? It was weird and i wouldn't recommend this particular place to anyone....
Read moreAbsolutely amazing experience. This place has only been opened for four months and the shop owner seems to be the only one running the place immaculately in it's quaint space. When you enter, on your right is a shelf of items you can choose to decoden, such as mirrors, clips, and other miscellaneous items. You can also ask for a clear phone case of the model of your phone too. Afterwards, youâre able to choose from a variety of charms, decoden cream colors, stickers, along with fake sprinkles as an option. There are also blind box figures you can buy. This was my first time with decoden, and the experience was phenomenal. My only regret was not coming in with inspo picks, because there was just sooooo much to choose from (my fault đ ). I chose to make a phone case, and it costed me $36~ without tip. This is a great place to create and yap with a group of friends, and the product you make will be one of a kind to you....
