Pelicana Chicken — Restaurant in Doraville

After many visits to H-Mart and passing through the food court, today I finally decided to stop and grab something to eat. I was in no way disappointed.

I ordered the ugly chicken sandwich with the spicy ranch on it. Easily one of The best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. The chicken itself was juicy and flavorful, not to mention huge! The spicy ranch sauce was also incredibly flavorful. It had a great kick to it, without being in your face with the heat.

I Also got the fries, mac n cheese bites, the hush puppies and the cup chicken. The fries were super crispy without being hard. Super good. The Mac n cheese bites were also very tasty. You Also get a lot of them! The hush puppies had a great corn flavor to Them and were a great compliment to my chicken sandwich!

Lastly the cup chicken. This is their version of popcorn chicken. It came in a very large cup and was filled to the point it was almost overflowing. You can add a bunch of sauces to it to change your experience (we wanted to try it plain first). Super crunchy, super flavorful, and super fresh.

I really don't like to give bad review but it is BAD so I have to give 0 star, but google only allow 1 star as the lowest star. We waited for the chicken for about 20 minutes and it came out hot and I ate the drumstick and the meat was undercooked...I was really angry to be honest because I know eating undercooked chicken can make you sick or even die of food poisoning from undercooked chicken ! This is not a small matter, this is a Big Matter because when you sell chicken, you need to make sure the meat is fully 100% cooked (not undercooked or half cooked). Quality is no. 1 Priority in food business. We complained to them and instead of admitting it was undercooked, they told us it was the fat...no it is not the fat alright, I know what undercooked meat looks like...and in the past, I got experience of food poisoning from undercooked chicken so I am very cautious. So their solution is to heat up the rest of the chicken in the microwave for a couple minutes ! Some of the chicken looked burned from microwave ! I have always gone to the Pelicana in Duluth, but they have been very disappointing lately. I was in the area and I saw this place in Doraville so I thought I would give it a try. It was the best decision of my life. The chicken is so fresh and juicy. The wait is around 15 minutes depending on what you order, but to have something as fresh as this chicken, its worth the wait. I got the garlic spicy whole chicken, season fries, cheese balls, and the avocado grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. My friends and I left no crumbs, no leftovers because we devoured all of the food for how good it was. I am not joking I will be driving here as much as possible to get this chicken. It makes it even better because the staff is so nice and friendly. I have never seen anything like it! A recommendation that I would provide, if you go there to eat and shop at the H-Mart, I would place your order then go shopping. They give you this buzzer that allows to see when your order is ready. I recommend this place to anyone that has the accessibility to come...
