Ever since the pandemic, Tea Top has been operating as a "to-go only" tea shop, so keep that in mind, those who like to linger. I don't know if that will change in the future but I'm personally fine either way.
I've been going to Tea Top for years, recently pretty much on a weekly basis. I really like the drink options offered here and haven't really had a bad drink yet. Prices are competitive and even better than nearby shops, which offer mediocre drinks at higher prices. Whether you prefer your tea to taste like tea or you want to drink your dessert, there's something for everyone. Tea Top allows you to adjust sugar and ice levels on the majority of the drinks. I'm not sure if TT offers alternative milk options bc I normally get milky drinks anyway. My friends speak highly of the milk foam drinks though.
Just a disclaimer, I don't order "normal" tapioca pearls as a topping so I can't speak for the "boba". However, I LOVE aiyu jelly and I'm so glad to find a shop that offers aiyu jelly topping which actually tastes delicious and is texturally pleasing!
Highly recommending: • Wintermelon Alpine Green Tea (+ grass jelly) • Sun Moon Lake Tea (with milk if you can handle lactose, + grass/coffee jelly) • Passion Green Tea Medley (comes with tapioca and lychee jelly, I sub out tapioca for aiyu) • Mango Slush (+ crystal boba) • (Hot) Longan Ginger Tea
Listen, never in my life had I ordered a hot drink at a bubble tea shop... until a week ago, when I got strep throat, and this longan ginger tea has been one of the most comforting things to hug the insides of my mouth. The ginger flavor isn't too strong, which I appreciate. There are even pieces of longan you can chew on when you finish your drink. If you're feeling under the weather or having digestion issues,...
Read moreAbsolute best boba in the area! And my husband and I have tried almost all of them. I used to never like boba drinks before because I thought those pearls were tasteless chewy balls until I came across Tea Top! (+) Their pearls are always sweetened and fresh. Even after sticking them in the fridge overnight, the tapioca pearls stay nice and squishy as opposed to hardening like other places do. (+) I love that there is only one size so there is one less thing to decide on. (+) The prices are also very good for the size. (My usual is Earl Grey 80% sugar with pearls and it consistently is right around $5+ tip included. If I got this at KFT, it would be more like $7+.) (+) You can call ahead to place an order. (+) They have a rewards card where you get a free drink after 9 or 10 drink orders. My husband and I have probably redeemed around 10 of those free drinks now with how often we frequent the place.
(-)They used to have seating inside but they closed it off during the beginning of the pandemic. Hope they open it back up one day, but I can see why management would not want to do that. They still always seem to have a line/wait and it’s less cleaning for staff.
I will be very sad when we move away from this area. We live 5 min away and we always look forward to our weekly Tea Top drink. Even my...
Read moreTea Top is one of my absolute favorite bubble tea shops! My orders are always accurate and if a rare problem does happen, they make it right without fuss. They are super speedy making the drinks accurately. Everyone is friendly and very helpful (esp to that one person clogging up the que who has 20 questions and no clue what they want). Atmosphere is especially bright, vibrant, fun and inviting on the weekends with high-top and regular seating, and assortment of board and card games. My absolute favorite drink is the taro milk tea with sago and red beans with zero sugar (the red beans add sweet already so try ‘no sugar’ unless you like sweet). They use real taro pieces and the drink is not that weird artificial purple. Another favorite of mine is the Sun Moon Lake black tea with no sugar and cream cheese foam (this drink should not throw you out of ketosis if you are on keto!). We have so many favorites and every drink we have tried is fantastic! Make sure to ask for a punch card because I am positive you are going to want to try every single drink...
