⚠️Do NOT accidentally go close to closing time. They announce where the customers are in the store and then they publicly announce the areas that are “clear” of customers over the speakers. And then they lock the doors and you can’t leave until they open it for you. I made the mistake of confusing their closing time with a different craft’s store’s closing time that was open one hour longer and instead of telling customers that the store would be closing and to make their final selections. They made one announcement that they would be closing shortly and then didn’t give customers the time to leave and instead incessantly made announcements overhead announcing where you were in the store as you’re trying to leave the store. It was my friend and I’s first time in the store. I felt extremely uncomfortable and stressed out. Do not make the mistake of going into the store anywhere near closing time or you will be treated quite rudely. Just imagine you’re every move being announced over the loudspeaker as a new customer trying to sort out what’s going on. On top of that they’re all announcing over the loudspeaker which areas are clear, not privately to one another on walkie-talkies, but over the loudspeaker just to passive aggressive or blatantly aggressively letting you know how much they don’t want you in their store. I have never been in a store that has been this unprofessional when closing down for the day. For the three to 5 minutes or less my friend and I were there for the first time It was a horrible experience. My friend said she heard one of the employees actually tell her the store was closing as if the announcements overhead weren’t enough. If you have medical conditions or disabilities definitely don’t expose yourself to that insensitive uneducated nonsense! Probably the worst staff I’ve ever seen for customer service ever! 🔊Public service announcement...
Read moreOn Aug 22 my partner was diagnosed with state 4 Lung cancer with 3 tumors in the brain at 40 yrs old. After 3 brain surgeries and having to come to Dothan for radiation prior to chemo we always enjoy shopping in Dothan as a whole due to the friendliness of most Dothan retailers. Today we came as my partner having to recover being homebound excited to shop for Christmas decor. In the midst of loading unloading wheelchairs etc I forgotten my glasses. We seen a pillow we wanted across the store and I went to the isle grabbed it from top shelf. Ibginestly didn't think about it or was I able to even read a sign cause my glasses were in the vehicle. To our dismay a very rude and distasteful assistant manager said " is there something wrong with the pillows down here, well one I didn't see them as she had a cart she was working off of in front of them. And I was unaware that you couldn't get things off the top shelf. What happens to someone who is illiterate do they get spoken to like a child in a disrespectful manner, the whole attitude on top of already stressful situation completely unacceptable . I hope Tiffany feels good to crush the few moments someone felt good to be out enjoying their life!...
Read moreIf you’re into crafting, decorating, or DIY projects, Hobby Lobby is a one-stop shop for just about everything you need. They have a huge selection of supplies for painting, sewing, scrapbooking, home décor, and even specialty hobbies like jewelry-making and woodworking. The store is well-organized, and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for—though you might get distracted by all the creative possibilities along the way!
One of the best things about Hobby Lobby is their weekly sales and discounts. If something isn’t on sale this week, chances are it will be soon. Their home décor section is also worth mentioning—whether you’re going for farmhouse, modern, or seasonal themes, they always have stylish (and affordable) options.
The only downside is that they’re closed on Sundays, (but I actually respect and love this about them, I remember when nothing was open on Sunday) so if you’re a last-minute crafter like me, you’ll have to plan ahead! But overall, Hobby Lobby is a crafter’s paradise, and it’s hard to leave without a cart full of...
