I wanted to take a minute to thank and say a little, well-deserved, something about this amazing shop and even more amazing, shop owner=Ms. Jan Sexton. for being the amazing, beautiful, highly intelligent, compassionate, hard-working, empathic, patient, KIND, forgiving...i could go on for days..really! I first started out just popping in from time to time, maybe once a month, for a quick grab of my "swear-by" AB necessary health supps, herbs, essential oils, etc... Off the bat, Ms Jan was so warm & friendly. She never hesitated to answer my repetitive,silly questions as well as the questions all the other customers had. People just gravitate and love being around Ms Jan and her cozy, cool shop. I personally witnessed her going out of her way on severaloccasions just to make sure a customer felt heard and that they weren't in the hands of a money hungry, biz owner who is just trying to push product & get home. she wants eaxh customer to feel good about what they bought and comfortable with the dosage, side effects, etc EVERYONE was important to Ms Jan! Always thinking of other people, that is just how she naturally rolls and it blew my mind to see someone so selfLESS in a world that is teaching you nothing more than to be selfish! She spent as much time as it took with each customer to make them feel comfortable and heard.

Lastly, bc you think the price of Ashwaganda is too high, you're gonna go home & take precious time out of your day to write up a negative review and post it to try to tarnish this store and owners reputation?!! This Lady is just friggin trying to get by in this crazy world, like the rest of us. She can't give the product away. Little reminder- the small, locally-owned, barely staying afloat, shops that are disappearing by the truckloads, has ALREADY BOUGHT & PAID IN FULL, for all the product you see.

Ms. Jan is not only a wonderful business owner...she's an even better friend, mother, daughter, boss and most importantly-CHILD OF GOD. She is someone just trying to help out others a little if able and maybe spreada little 🌞 along the way and i think that's pretty admirable. While living in Dothan, AL., I was blessed enough to cross paths as a customer, then an employee and now a friend with Ms. Janet Sexton, owner, manager, retired Nurse and MASTERHERBALIST at JAN'S HEALTH FOODS and I can honestly say she changed my life. She was a living, breathing, witness to the goodness of God and what he provided us with. She is always exuberanting kindess and love...Willingness to help no matter what...expecting nothing in return, genuinely... Moving from up North where there are ample organic, health, and nutrition stores, this was the only place I found what I wanted. Her prices are comparable or lower to the other stores I frequented in the area. aka Jan's Health Foods. Jan is a Master herbalist, I having a research lab background, find that she is extremely knowledgeable in what I am trying to achieve in my health. I suffer from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities) and I don't have to worry about obnoxious incense, or fragrances being used. She understands what is toxic and what is not. This cashier literally told me you can just die from type 1 diabetes. Then justified her reasoning by explaining how she is a nurse. You cant just "die from type 1 diabetes". You can die from complications from diabetes, you can die from an extremely high or low blood sugar. Google and a freaking endocrinologist (actual diabetes doctor) both can tell you that. One star for lack of education on a serious subject and saying diabetes is a terminal illness that you can just die from when in actually it's nothing about it that is terminal as long as you manage it. Thank goodness I am a big reviewer. I'll have some of my people come and see how she acts towards the subject...
