Shoe Carnival — Local services in Douglasville

This is the absolute WORST place to buy shoes! I came in today, bought a pair of work shoes, the cashier who was on his phone forgot to give me my senior discount. At this time, he refunded my debit card, only for the funds to not be released. I told him, I cannot have any mishaps in my checking account. He assures me that the money will be right back in my account.. IT IS NOT! I've contacted my bank and the refund is not showing. So now, on my day off I don't have the 60.00 to go to the grocery store! What should have been a simple transaction, has turned into a nightmare. I will NEVER come here again for anything. You can't jack peoples money up like that. DO BETTER, GET OFF YOUR PHONES! Also, to the manager who hung up on me, you didn't know how to fix the transaction either! Very poor customer service! If it's not returned, I will file...

Like most men, don’t like to spend too much time picking out clothes or shoes. Just like to get in and out. Went in about 12:50p and was back in my car by 1:03p. The young black man in all black with glasses assisted me. Hope he gets acknowledged by the company. I could tell he was very busy stocking shoes but, he stopped what he was doing to help me without even knowing that I am a person who will always write a review (negative or positive). I will be back and I will definitely refer my colleagues especially busy I needed some comfortable work shoes for a hard floor warehouse environment. Thank you shoe carnival for your efforts in choosing the right people...

This location was nice but 3 stars because their prices are way too high. Some of the shoes you can get online I know $20 plus cheaper, this companies idea of clearance is $25 for shoes that won't sell. The store is clean, the staff didn't acknowledge us but I didn't mind because I'm one who will find my own way and if I need someone I'll find and ask them. So would I go back? No because for what it is they are charging way too high...just buy your shoes online if you want to save money because even with shipping that is cheaper. But if you don't mind paying more for some of the same things, this is a good location for selection and other stores...
