Very glad there’s finally ramen in this town, took long enough lol. Anyhow this is what I ordered and my opinions on each thing
Tonkotsu ramen: 6.5/10 wasn’t bad by any means but it wasn’t something I’d order again. The broth was good but the noodles themselves were quite bland. However of the things I actually didn’t like were the bamboo shoots in the toppings. Normally I love them but these ones had a bit of a funky flavor to them. No big deal, they were probably just canned or something cause sometimes those that are have a similar flavor to this.
Takoyaki: 9/10 hands down maybe some of the best takoyaki I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back for more. The only thing that would make it a 10/10 would be if there were just more than 6 in an order, but I’m certainly not complaining.
Thai tea with boba: 8/10 very good. It’s a bit on the milder side, not super sweet, but it has an actual tea taste to it that others in the area don’t which is quite nice. The only actual critique I have for this would be that the tapioca itself was sort of bland. I’m not sure if they soak the boba in a simple syrup before serving but if not that would definitely help improve the flavor or at least give it a bit more sweetness.
Overall score was 7/10 based on the things I ordered, will certainly be back again to try other things such as the miso soup and gyoza
Hope this place...
Read moreCute little ramen shop. Prices pretty average for the quality of food they’re putting out. My partner and I ordered crab rangoons, takoyaki, and the tankatsu ramen with pork. She had a Thai tea with tapioca pearls, I had a brown sugar milk tea with the same. The rangoons were light, crispy, looked like typical Chinese takeout, but so much better. The sauce had a nice vinegar pop. The takoyaki (fried octopus croquettes) were great. Came out blazing hot. Nice and soft in the middle, Right amount of octopus. Dressed with kewpie(mayo) and what i assume is okanomiyaki sauce(think barbeque meets eel sauce) The shredded bonito flakes were a nice touch. Careful theyre hot! The tankatsu ramen (long simmered pork broth) was delightful. Not too rich, not too light. Perfect amount of meatiness. Could use a pop of salt, but that’s just my opinion, I’m heavy handed, but this dish was still clean plate worthy without it. The Thai tea and brown sugar milk tea were refreshing. The tapioca was good. Overall a good experience for a counter service ramen shop....
Read moreWhen looking for a spot to have lunch on a weekday early afternoon we were surprised that this place was here. GRAND OPENING it says on the front. I have been wanting a good ramen and Boba place in douglasville for a long time and this place did not disappoint. Cute atmosphere inside. Very clean and sleek. Modern and decorated nicely. The employee behind the counter was patient and kind. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offered many topping options for the Boba. We weren't waiting long for our order. The pork tonkotsu was hot and delicious. Egg perfectly done. Seasoned nicely. We also ordered hibachi steak which was seasoned to perfection. The steak hot juicy and tasty. The pickiest of us a 5 year old loved the white rice and house salad with the ginger dressing. Can't beat meal for 3 people for under $45 nowadays. 5...
