We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about the entire staff at HDB. They have the friendliest staff in the world! Everyone always treats my girls like they are their own dog, which makes you feel like family. The staff always asks me how my girls are doing, even when I don’t have them with me. All of the employees are very knowledgeable/trained about many products and all things dogs. The day I received allergy test results for one of our dogs, I went straight to HDB with those results. I was at a complete loss because everything I was feeding her she was allergic to. Chris and Eileen were SO helpful and supportive. They went through each ingredient in their products to help ensure I was trying the right food. Then gave me samples of a bunch of food I could try and encouraged me to research them on my own as well. If you’re looking for a product that they aren’t carrying at that moment, they will special order it for you. They deliver local and ship their cakes nationally. Kelsey and the girls in the kitchen are SO creative and fantastic with my unique orders. Since my girl is allergic to so many things, they don’t think twice when I request a dairy free cake or ice cream! They reassure me that I can order a batch for just us whenever I’d like. As a local dog walker and pet sitter, I have quite a few four legged bosses who bring me to Happy Dog Barkery. Every single visit and interaction with staff has been so positive, personal, and wonderful, which is unfortunately rare these days.

This review is to give a heartfelt, special thank you to Kay. I am pet sitting 2 small dogs, one of whom began a hunger strike a few days before his humans were leaving. (He was taken to the vet, a full blood panel was given, all other necessary tests as well, and he was diagnosed with "and upset stomach", so please know that his humans took every precaution.) Long story short, his humans purchased all sorts of foods for me to give him, hoping there would be something he'd love. That was not the case. Having had so many great experiences with the HDB staff, I went in and was greeted by the wonderful Kay. I explained my situation, and she recommended a can of Weruva Chicken Stew, and she also gave me samples of their homemade Chicken Parmesan stew (shoutout to chef Kathy for that deliciousness!), and a complimentary piece of liver cake. The little doggo DEVOURED 1/2 can of the stew that night! I gave him some Chicken Parm the next morning, he lived it, and he's been back to his lil stinker self ever since! Wow!!!!! If you have dogs…. You need to visit this incredible store!! Forget pet smart or petco this place is amazing!!! My dog Jamie turned 7 today and I stopped by to purchase a cake! Not only are they so knowledgeable about dogs in general and what they have to offer in store but incredibly friendly. I cannnot rave enough about how great this place impressed me in just a matter of minutes. The only down fall for me ( not really I don’t mind driving ) is that it’s 45mins away from my house. As I purchased the first cake I was on my way home and I immediately had to brake drastically, 20mins on the highway and I ruined the frosting. I went back and they immediately took care of me. I asked what was the difference because I was more then happy to pay for there service on re frosting my dogs cake, they didn’t charge me! They were so understandable and helped me by repackaging the cake a different way so I wouldn’t have an accident again. Thank you girls so much who helped me this afternoon.
