EIFFEL WAFFLE- Downers Grove — Restaurant in Downers Grove

Update: from my original review came back in here last night with my daughter we love this place it’s become our little spot I was disgusted first of all the last time I came they didn’t have the flavor I wanted I was told it sold out same day etc believe it was called the Dubai ok no worries I settled for the Nutella banana strawberry mini dessert was delicious! I come back last night for the Dubai’s and was told it was no longer sold in their store since it didn’t do well…hmmm ok the young girl was very snarky are rude I think maybe it’s because it’s Saturday night and she doesn’t want to be at work but her professionalism was non existing. I ordered instead my usually 12 mini pancakes and strawberries and bananas with Nutella and a scoop of Biscoff ice cream now i noticed it was low so I kindly asked her would it be enough if not I can pick another flavor she says yes she made me the SLOPPIEST nastiest looking Eiffel minis box in history with a mini scoop of ice cream this place is supposed to be art a place people come to take photos esp just being on Chicago’s best how dare you charge me $21 for this bs my daughter ordered the waffle cone with pumpkin ice cream it was sloppy and falling all over the place I’m very turned off what a shame! Your employees need more training I was hoping the other guy would be in there he was the best! The pictures I posted were from how he made them so beautiful all 3 times we came in with him there the other girl was crap was embarrassed to even post it

It was only one guy in there late 20’s early 30’s nice looking he took good care of every customer that came in and the waffle minis were soooo good I may go back for another tonight!!! I’ve been 3 times and this was by far the best time he was patient...

My boyfriend and have visited this place twice. We recently came by about 2-3 weeks ago. Both times, the only reason this place got 3 stars was the food. The first time, I got their milkshake - very delicious. Second time, I got their kid size Eiffel Waffle cone - amazing with the waffle cone. However, this is not the reason I’m posting this review.

I feel this place has promise; but, there are things I noticed where improvements can be made that can make this place so much better. First off, the customer service was EXTREMELY lacking. They do not greet customers upon entry, not very verbal to customers, roll their eyes at customers, they never look happy to be working and seem miserable, and always have short answers or just give customers their orders without saying anything. I just feel like an improvement of this could go a long way and bring more customers in; make customers happy that they want to be there and not scurry them out.

A second way this ice cream place could improve is their outdoor patio seating was a COMPLETE mess. It was evident that they rarely clean it because there was trash all around the area and there was broken patio seats where there was no way customers could sit on them. The outdoor patio they have has so much potential to be nice and accommodating for customers!

All in all, I feel this place has so much potential and I do not want to see this place close because this concept is delicious. So, if you work for this place or are the owner and are reading this, shape up and understand what a great...

I actually haven’t been here yet myself but know many who have and I follow them on Instagram and keep seeing nothing but fun and happy faces. I haven’t heard one negative thing about this place.

For these disgraceful, antagonistic , self centered DISGUSTING people who blatantly try to destroy a small business in the community - I hope karma returns when you least expect it. To the ones who specifically mentioned it being a Muslim owned business - F you and your racist ideaology. You don’t represent America and you definitely don’t represent the community.

Small local owned nusinesses are supposed to be supported more than anything. Like I said, I have known quite a few to come here and it’s NOTHING like the BS reviews are. Have some dignity and respect to not look like a POS. IF you truly had a bad experience - talk to management. Give them the chance to correct it. The world has gone mad and our society is losing grip on how much strengthening each other, especially at the local level, matters for a strong, thriving and prosperous community.

I can’t wait to try this place myself. Once I’m done prepping for my bidybuilding show and of July. I will be in. And I’ll be giving another 5 star review I can guarantee that. Stay strong Eiffel Waffle. These hateful and spiteful fake reviewers won’t win. Kill ‘em...
