Over hyped and over priced. Mediocre burger, meh service, long wait and bad seating arrangements. We decided to go with some of our out of town friends and waited the allotted 45 minutes we knew we were going to have to for “the new” place(we went back in October). The hostess didn’t even call out our name, she relied solely on the check in app to inform us even though we were right in front of her the whole time. We sat down at a half booth half bar stool seating area with a very wet table. We asked if it was really ready for us and the server assured us it was. The booth seat was still moist but not as bad as the table. We didn’t see our server again for awhile even though she was there when we had just sat down. When she did come around she took drink orders and we told her we were ready to order food but she ran away before we could. Someone else brought our drinks and she eventually showed up so we could order. She dropped by our table to take our condiments and ran off right away. We didn’t see her again till well after we had finished eating. We had to ask someone else to grab us some condiments because we had ours taken from us. The food looked nice, but for the prices we paid, not worth it. I upgraded my fries to the buffalo fries and they were cold fries with hot buffalo sauce. The burger was very bland and even the pretzel bun was lack luster, you could tell it was not a fresh bun, probably a day or two old. The drinks were fun and good, but not really worth the terrible service. Our friends knew it was the new place and we hadn’t tried it yet, but you could tell they thought it was a terrible pick. When we made plans with them to eat again they suggested that they pick the place. I absolutely hated the fact that they were trying to up-sell the history of the building they were in when they kept ONE wall from when it used to be a library, and ruined all the books by gluing them to it smh. Don’t tell me about your buildings history when you clearly decided to get rid of 99.9% and then cover up the only part you “left in tact”. Save your money, not worth it one bit. Overall, I would never go back. The only thing I would ever have from this place again was their mixed drinks, maybe. They get two stars because of the drinks,...
Read moreThis was the worst takeout experience I've had in a while. Would have rated zero stars if it was an option. Rated 1 star only because my fiance liked her salad. I was excited to try this place out as they have some fun and intriguing menu items. Everything was hot when I picked it up. I only live about 10 minutes away so not too bad of distance to drive and maintain freshness. Well...
I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich (buffalo sauce on the side, blue cheese crumbles on the side) with brisket Mac n cheese. I also added a side of fries that were supposed to be well done (it's an option when ordering). Nothing about my order was good. Nothing. I threw most of it out. The fries had a good flavor but we're limp and almost under cooked on some. The brisket Mac was bland and flavorless. No amount of seasoning could have helped as the brisket tasted and had the consistency of canned tuna. It was inedible. My dog didn't mind it but I guess it's probably better than her food. Probably not much though. Then there was the chicken sandwich. Not only was this the most dried out piece of chicken ever, no joke, no exaggeration... most dried out EVER! The side of sauce a blue cheese was lazily not capped and just thrown into the box effectively removing the whole purpose of getting it on the side. I saw it before I left the restaurant but decided it wasn't worth making a deal of because I'd planned to use it anyway. Unfortunately for me, though the sandwich was drowning in buffalo sauce, that was supposed to be on the side, the chicken was so over cooked I thought I broke a tooth at one point trying to bite into it. Luckily, it was just a piece of the chicken, not the breading, the actual chicken that crunched that way.
Save your money and go to McDonald's, it's better prepared.
FWIW - My fiance got the Harvest Salad and a side of brussel sprouts and liked both. She agrees with my sentiment on the rest of the food though. She tried everything and hated my food...
Read moreThis place would be a 4-5 star if our service hadn’t been abysmal. Our first visit- Monday around 745pm, seemed busy but as some tables were full outside we did get a table inside for our party of two. Waiter stopped by quickly to get drink order and make recommendations for appetizers. Drinks arrived quickly, and our appetizer was brought out by another server. We had the cauliflower with buffalo sauce and it was truly delicious. Expected our server to stop by, ask us how we liked the appetizer, to check on us and to take our dinner order but he didn’t. So we waited. And waited some more. I finally saw our server and motioned him over as he was speeding by but he slowed down enough only to ask if we wanted another round of drinks. We said yes (intending to order dinner once he came back with drinks) and off he went. To never return. After about 15 minutes of this we had to ask another server to find him! So he finally shows up with our drinks that had obviously been waiting at the bar as the ice was half melted and glasses highly condensed . By this time we had had enough and just asked for another appetizer to go, figuring that might take awhile and we could finish our drinks. Buffalo shrimp, packed nicely, showed up. Like the cauliflower it was wonderful. Now here’s the thing, we loved the vibe the second we walked in, thought the menu had so many wonderful things that we would’ve loved to have tried not just on this visit but in many visits to come. But because of this one experience, we probably won’t come back. And a note to management- if a server has a very large table outside that is taking up most of his time, have another server take “his” table inside. Because we didn’t realize that that was where he was spending the majority of his time. If we had known (and honestly is that our job to realize this) we could’ve just asked another server to take over or ask a...
