From the outside looking in, you wouldn't think much of this place. But once you walk in, it's sleek and clean. When I walked in, all the techs were in the back and talking amongst one another and none realized I was standing there. It took them a few mins to even realize I was there and I said hello but no one heard me. There weren't any customers in there either so there really isn't a excuse to not be acknowledged almost immediately of entering the salon. After being acknowledged, I was immediately sat in a chair. I'm big on friendly customer service. So when I don't get it, it's automatically a turn off for me. I know everyone is different, some people appreciate conversation with a tech, some don't, and some don't mind the interaction here and there with some kind of conversation. Me, im the type to like a lil interaction here and there. I didn't get any of that here so it was awkwardly quite. Don't get me wrong, the tech did a really good job on my hands and the design was amazing. It was pretty much identical to what I showed him. But my pedicure is a different situation. Hence this review. I got the volcanic gel pedicure. The process for that was refreshing and relaxing. But here are a few things I didn't appreciate for sanitary reasons and cleanliness reasons. The pedicure itself was basic. I'd assume when getting a pedicure they would clean underneath the nail and clip the sides and take out any ingrown if you have them. I didn't get that at all. I also don't appreciate being coughed on the whole entire time. The woman who did my pedicure was coughing the entire time on my feet and legs and would not cover her mouth. We just went through a pandemic and being coughed on without covering your mouth or even wearing a mask because you have a cough is gross and unsanitary. It's not ok for this to be happening and I'd hope that for future reference, that doesn't happen again. So that being said, that's why I can't give this 5 stars. If the customer service was good and I wasn't being coughed on, I'd...
Read moreSo disappointed! Made a 3pm appointment yesterday for a Pedicure and fill. It was great go in and was immediately directed to a Spa chair. One of the technicians immediately started the pedicure. About a 1/2 hours into the pedicure I asked if someone was going to start my nails? I was told by the gentleman technician yes . Couple of the technicians finished and were assigned to other people who were walked in. At 1/4 to 4 I asked politely again I was told yes someone would be starting my nails right away. At 4pm I asked the same question again very nicely and said I had a 3pm appointment. At this point the gentleman technician got up and started to look for someone. While he’s checking to see where everyone was with there clients one of the girl technicians goes to lunch. A few mins later she comes out chewing her food saying as soon as finishes her food she’ll do my nails. At 4:20 pm I end up leaving. I didn’t want her to rush and was done wanting. Meanwhile new walk ins were being help. I have been going there since it open and the last few times the Customer service has dropped. Not even I am sorry. I just paid my bill and went down the street to another place walked in and they took me right way and did a super nice job. Even offered free bottle water tea or coffee. And did a great job...
Read moreI've been coming to Q nail once a month for over a year, but I guess that stops today. Thanks for nothing, APRIL.
Pic is what I asked for vs what I got but the long version is when I noticed my nails weren't to my liking, I asked the tech, APRIL, if there was a way to make the lines on the "checkers" look sharper, and she said no, that the colors blend because they're close together. Before she put the top coat on, I asked if she could fix a crooked line I saw. She made a face at the woman doing my pedicure then said something to her in their language. It was very clearly an impression of me that was obvious despite any language barrier. APRIL did what she was willing to do but when I asked her to do the same on my other hand, she rolled her eyes at her friend again evidently at my request.
I let it go just to get out of there, and when I went to pay for the nail job I was unhappy with, I was told the $128 total ($76 for gel-x fill, $52 for a $44 pedicure plus $8 gel color) included 20% off for their "grand opening" that's been going on since I started coming here. As if I was supposed to be grateful to pay this amount.
I'm willing to pay for good work. This was not good. Along with her attitude, I was beyond upset. Bad vibes all around.
If you're reading this April, be kind. It...
