Well fun stuff to talk about here. I have the joy of telling the internet about the predatory tactics that this t-mobile store used on me. I am still in shock that this happened to be honest, and I guess they are unlucky that I caught it. Boy am I angry.
I went in and was greeted by Armin, who was in the process of training a new employee. I waited a bit then it was my turn. I asked for a new note 5 and to be set up on the Jump On Demand plan. They brought out the note 5, then the paper work starts. This is where the problems begin.
I am told by Armin that I need to choose a case. I tell him I do not want the case. He responds to this by telling me that samsung now includes the case and a screen protector in all phone purchases through t-mobile. Of course this seems funky to me, but stranger things have happened so I don't think much of it. He then goes and grabs a screen protector. Then he begins working on the paper work again.
He then tells me that due to my class 3 credit I do not qualify for the 0 down for the phone and that I will need to pay $53. I am a little shocked by this, but he says it will lower my monthly payments. Ok, that is not a problem then. At the end of the encounter he then proceeds to try to apply the screen protector they chose for me. I say this because I didn't even pull it off the rack. HE THEN RUINS THE SCREEN PROTECTOR!!! Clearly he has had very little successful applications of screen protectors because it was ruined. I am lucky he did not damage the phones screen.
About 5 days later I go to look at my t-mobile plan, and in the bottom right I see an eip plan. I don't know what this is because my phone is not eip, but jump on demand. I click on and guess what I see. Ding Ding Ding, the two accessories, that I will be paying $2 dollars for every month. Also next to the accessories I see that the $53 I payed in the store went towards the accessories. Well that put some shine in my day to be sure. Of course t-mobile wasn't able to help me because this store isn't run by t-mobile, but is just affiliated with them. So I am effectively screwed. I called the store to speak with a manager, they heard manager and nothing but ring tone.
TL;DR
DO NOT GO TO THIS T-MOBILE LOCATION!!!! THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND YOU WILL SUFFER BECAUSE OF IT!!!
Also I really like the t-mobile service. This rant was not about t-mobile, but this...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this store last Friday to purchase another phone for her. We decided on a trade in of hers for IPhone 12 mini. The young lady that was to process the order kept having systems errors at least that is what she said . We there over an hour, and finally said we would go to our local store when we returned home. Then on Saturday I get a text message that order went through and my bill also arrived on text having a $30 increase. I called the customer service number and explained what happened , they said they would fix it and I should be able to go to the local store . Well that never happened , so,we were told to wait while an investigation went on. Yesterday I received a call from the lady at the Orlando store who said she was sorry we had a problem and she would fix it in the system and we could return the phone to local store and get the mini. I told her we wanted to go back in the morning and would she make sure it was done. She said it would be. Well today my wife went back and it wasn’t done. I contacted the lady who said she couldn’t do it last night and now would not be in till 3 when her manager would also be there. Now why didn’t she at least contact me about that last night instead of having us go to the store in the morning on,y to be told it wasn’t done. In my opinion the people working at this store are incompetent and do not understand customer service. I would recommend that anyone go to this store as you may get the same incompetent...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying that I am only reviewing the customer service department of T-mobile. I had questions about my sim card and I needed information from T-mobile directly. After all my questions were answered, I was told that I could receive free One-day shipping for the Sim Card. Naturally, I was skeptical, so I wanted to ensure that this was the case. The woman I was on the phone with assured me that it would take only One-day for free. After a few days of waiting with no results, I called back and a new woman said that I had to purchase the One-day shipping. Obviously, I am at fault to a certain degree for not checking the shipping supplies, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that one of the employees told me that the shipping was faster than it was. Now, I have to wait an entire week for a new Sim card. Furthermore, the customer service doesn't engage well with the cutomers, they act rude, and they cause more harm than good. I've been with T-Mobile for 7 years, and I have never needed customer service until recently. I was appalled and disgusted with how they treat...
