Halal Market — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

I have been shopping at this store from past 2 years and the lady is the counter is very religious discriminating person and rude always with her behavior at counter. She never responds to any question we ask reg the grocery in shelves except if you are a Muslim- and She prefers to chit chat (gossips)with other friends on phone and would make the customers wait at the counter for 15 mins for no reason. this happened to me more than 4-5 times - today it was extreme i was in store at 7.50pm and browsing shelves to find what i need, the lady told me to finish shopping fast and not to waste too much time as the store will close at 8.30pm, then i replied we still 40 mins to closing time, so what is the Rush ? she gave an angry look and went back to the counter - basically my guess she needs to gossip with her friend in private (which was already going on before i entered the store ) - when i asked her for a particular tea Brand as i couldnt find it on shelves - her reply was ( i dont know where it is and its job to search it and dont ask me) - such a freaking reply in grocery store never expected - i want notify the owner of the store and to take care of it such an attitude and behavior with customers not good for...

I have bought meat from here for the past year or so. I went in the beginning of Ramadan to stock up for this upcoming blessed month. The red meat we purchased recently turned out to have a weird smell we never smelled or tasted before. Turns out the meat is most likely expired. I had to dump $100 worth of red meat in the trash not taking a chance at getting me or my family sick especially during Covid times. We kept the chicken as it was okay and didn’t want to waste anymore food. This place is horrible and their customer service is terrible!! Once you purchase and walk out the door, it doesn’t become their problem anymore. I don’t recommend shopping here.. I am starting to wonder if they truly sell halal meat- I almost want to say the goat was slaughtered sick or truly sold to us expired. Also my son in law always gets double charged here all the time because they won’t fix...

This market is not visible from the main road. It's on the side of a strip mall. The market is compact and jam packed with variety of items. Produce section is proportionately small. We went to buy Halal chicken and goat because we weren't satisfied with our local choices. Prices were higher than we are used to but we found what we were looking for. There was no noticable service other than meat counter and cashier. We made a choice from pre-packaged meat in refrigerator that looked fresh. The Cashier was ambivelant at best but he processed 3 people on line very quickly. I would go back again if the meat is a fresh...
