Do not waste a dime on this place… read the reviews first! I’m currently staying here and my first walk into the room I seen a spider on the window seal… oh no big deal but definitely not something I want sleeping with me. I complained to the front desk and she said “oh no im so sorry” long story short they don’t care. Then after a short nights sleep I wake up to shower at 6am and go to pull the tub spout to activate the shower head and it falls of the copper from the wall!!! And water shoots out everywhere… luckily I’m a plumber and put it right back on but let that have been my 10 month old get shot right in the eyes/mouth with a stream of water like that very unacceptable coming from somewhere who’s supposed to have outstanding hospitality and up-to-date with maintenance.. the shower heads tear drop that holds the head on in the wall was completely not screwed to any backing as the shower head nipple shook everywhere… I complained to the front desk and they switched me rooms no big deal right as if I don’t have $7,000 in tools to move + all of my clothes and misc stuff. As im packing another spider approached this time on the countertop of the nightstand!!! No thank youuuuuu! I move yo my new room as it had a balcony I was super excited for all went great that night! I wake up the next morning and go to breakfast at 6:15am which I then found out by the Starbucks worker breakfast doesn’t open until 6:30am I said okay and waited but 6:32 rolls by then 35 then it hits 6:38 and still not open… I work in the parks for Disney so it’s a 10 minute drive for work so I had no time to wait any longer as I had to go to work..#poorhospitality don’t promote hours you alll cant abide by!!! That ruined my morning. Then tonight as I wanted to try dinner at the hotel I go to the bar around 7 to ask what time it closes and if anything was good on the menu… he proceeded to say yeah the “burgers and wings are real good.. oh yeah even the quesadillas” I said ok what time does the kitchen close and on the phone with my fiancée she heard as well him say 9:30pm I left and begin to think why would he promote the most basic food items on the menu perhaps because they’re the easiest to make??? I’d say so myself if I were him.. anyway I got down at 9:11 to order and I asked if the kitchen was still open he then replied “no sorry they’re my last people for the kitchen they just closed it” I frustratedly said okay and walk away.. as I was walking away he begin to say he could “make wings” like no thank you man I don’t want you to deep fried wings that all you have to do is toss them in the fryer and toss in some rub in a bucket… NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION THE OVERPRICING $18 for breakfast and good luck ordering food from the bar. This hotel is by far the worst (posting...
Read moreIn terms of our stay for 14 nights from 2nd-16th April, we can’t really fault the hotel as it provided an excellent base for Disney World at a very reasonable price plus we had the benefit of the shuttle bus service to the park. ||However, the experience since we checked out is an absolute disgrace. Upon our return, my credit card was charged twice in the region of $1300 and $210 with no explanation. After an exhaustive online search trying to find a direct email address for the hotel without success, I had no other option but to phone the hotel from the UK, costing me in the region of £30, to finally be told that the $1300 charge was an error on the hotels behalf and that I would be refunded. The member of staff that I spoke with could not initially explain the $210 charge, but after exchanging emails directly with her, she finally sent me an invoice detailing the daily resort fees (plus tax) and a charge for using the restaurant which we did not use apart from breakfast which was included in our stay. The hotel initially had no record of the inclusion of breakfast in our stay, but after showing them proof in our booking it was later confirmed and added. I suspect the charge was for one days breakfast that was not removed from our stay, but after numerous emails to the member of staff I previously spoke with I still do not have a explanation for the charge and it is yet to be refunded to me. This on top of losing around £15 in exchange rate differences when I was refunded for $1300, plus the cost of phone calls to the hotel due to errors on their behalf has cost me in the region of £75, which I find unacceptable.||I travel regularly for work and it is common courtesy and I thought standard hotel industry practice to advise guests of any additional charges during their stay at the point of checkout so it can be settled or disputed there and then. This was not the case here, and if it had been I would not be in this position now. The hotel needs to train its staff to ensure all guests are presented with an invoice and advised of any additional charges at the point of checkout, especially when there is a resort fee that they may not be aware of, and not just charge personal credit cards without any prior warning. ||I will continue to contact the hotel employee I spoke with by email and Marriott HQ customer service until I feel that a suitable resolution has been agreed. For anyone considering staying here, please make sure you check with reception at checkout whether you will be charged for any extras. It seems that they feel there is no need for this which I find totally unacceptable for a hotel chain as large...
Read moreI am not an individual to ever write reviews but this has truthfully been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I made efforts to email the GM Sarah but due to that individual not having the courtesy of responding I am bringing my complaints here as I believe individuals deserve to know truths of reserving these stays. Let’s start from the beginning. The night we checked into our one night stay from hell we were greeted with the information that this hotel falsely advertises being a Disney good neighbor hotel and individuals staying there will not receive the park benefits of staying in a good neighbor hotel as advertised. After entering our room around 11:15 pm we quickly realized our room was not cleaned. We found toys, trash and someone’s dirty headband in our bed. And along with that the room had zero toilet paper for us to use the restroom. Thankfully we found the super kind Steven and Maurice who graciously got us into another room that was to be cleaned. But we were told no reimbursement would be granted if we wanted to be moved into a clean room as the new room would be our compensation for the dirty room we were first given. After entering the second room we again immediately found other people trash, this time in our pull out bed, which we subsided because we were exhausted and at this point had no other option but to stay in this dirty hotel. After moving forward from that situation I noticed that the couches are yellow and beyond dirty, that I didn’t even feel comfortable laying on them and decided to sleep in the office chair. If that was not enough of a bad experience in the morning in efforts to find a lost nose ring when picking up the mattress we then found someone’s dirty disgusting panties under our mattress. This has been the most awful hotel I have ever experienced between false advertisement with the Disney good neighbor hotels and the fact that we now were forced into two dirty rooms with people’s dirty items and I believe the GM should be more aware of the condition of their disgusting hotel. It’s time to do better because this is not ok, I felt gross, uncomfortable, and regretting every decision I made to book this nasty hotel. The only positive I have found with this stay was Steven and Maurice, both individuals deserve a raise for what they have to deal with in this disgusting hotel. I am writing this because I believe individuals booking their stay should be aware of what to expect when staying at this hotel. You will have dirty rooms, false advertisement, and other then the nightly desk staff, terrible customer service. Never again would I ever book a stay...
