I have a lot to say about this place. Long story short, I had a regular man’s haircut from Charlie and I can say his professionalism is 0, customer service is 0, and sanitary is also 0.
I’ve been getting haircuts from Min the past few years but unfortunately he wasn’t available today and I made an appointment with whoever was available at 2pm.
I arrived 30 minutes earlier because I was coming from out of town and just happened to arrive sooner than expected. So I waited until it turns 2pm but no one came to ask me who I made an appointment with until 2:05pm.
Charlie (older man with mustache) finally sat me at 2:15pm and asked how I wanted to cut my hair. 🚩Okay but first big red flag here: he DID NOT CLEAN HIS TOOLS, THE SEAT NOR THE FLOOR after his previous customer left. The surroundings were covered with the previous customer’s hair and the scissors and clippers were NOT SANITIZED. Are you joking? Even if there wasn’t a Coronavirus out there, that should be done after you serve one customer.
Back to the story - I told him that I just wanted my sides cut short and overall cleaned up length. I’m not picky and didn’t request with a specific celeb hair picture. So he just went “mmm” and nodded then started to cut my hair. 🚩Second red flag: while he was cutting my hair, he went back and forth 3 times to a customer who sat next to me and constantly was looking at her rather than focusing on cutting my hair properly. His attitude is ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL, rude, and gross.
He also brushed my hair really roughly as if he was relieving his stress on me. After cutting my hair for about 10 minutes or so, he shampooed my hair without covering a towel on my face, splashes water on me and drying my hair carelessly poking my eyes with the towel.
I paid and went back to my car to look closely on my hair then found a few long hairs that weren’t cut near my ears. 🚩I had enough and went back to tell him that it was uncut and he didn’t even apologize and literally shaved that part off with the clippers he was using on another customer while I was still standing. So he said, “I’ll cut it again for you” but I refused because I don’t mind too much on the hairstyle. But his attitude was so terrible that I’m writing such a long post. Then I respectfully ask, what is your name? And he just said, “I’ll give you my business card” and that was it. How rude is that?
I paid $25 + $5 tip but the service I received was less than $0. I don’t care if a hairstylist is less skilled, but at least treat your customer with respect and care, especially in professional service industry. And PLEASE sanitize your tools and seats before serving...
Read moreThis is my 2nd time appointment with Jenna, i choose her base on google rating reviews to do haircut , 1st time was ok..i was happy the cut is amazing, the second time i went there Nov 7.2018 ..i asked her few times to cut my hair shorter and thinner, bcoz i just got a baby so i need to make my hair as simple to take care of.. she had objection to thinner and shorter my hair base on her judgement..i politely asked her still to do soo. then she said ok, after you wash your hair THEN I WILL make it thinner . Move to WASHING and Dry : Then i went to get my hair wash by a guy, their staff . He dont even bother to lay a towel behind my neck it make my tshirt wet little bit on the neck area, when i asked about to put the towel ,he said one second ,then rushing to finish wash very quick ..Then,with no Respect,he press the towel at top of my hair then gave a shaking motion with both hand like he try to dry a 5 years old kids.. if he did it gently i understand , it was strange to dry my hair with the towel run over my forehead by shaking it both hands hard. Same person hair drying my hair , this time also not using a comb..with his hand run over my hair which still wet, not gently, he shake over my wet hair using crawling motion.. I pointed at the comb and said to him ,can you use this?? then he replied oh..i will use it when your hair little bit dry. So No respect, wash my hair and dried it like did it to 5years old kid. Meanwhile ,Jenna do other customer hair , i asked the guy to call her back to finish what she promised me to do..to MAKE IT THINNER.. while she did another customer, she said to the guy who washed my hair to tell me that Jenna said she said you got enough short so no need to thin your hair...(the reason i insist tondo becoz my hair is thick and start to lose / falls a lot after gave birth) then i said to the one who dried my hair , I Still NEED to cut it.. then she came back to me after finish with the other customer(man) , to my surprise she sound mad, she said..Enough ,you know..it will get puffy.. no more cut ..i told her i need it still to be thinner, then she reluctantly did it ,little few adjustment then she clean behind my back then take of the body cover , then she run away to new customer to wash their hair ,without put a vitamin or serum drop or without showing me thru mirror what is my hair from the back looks like. She just DONT CARE .. she just want to be fast and move to OTHER new customer without fullfil the request correctly . Never come back again .. very BAD SERVICE ..maybe im not from Korea thats why the...
Read moreUnfortunately they were not honest with me. I have been growing my hair for the past years and it was finally getting long and healthy. I had been here before for haircuts but never imagined how damaging getting anything else here would be. I asked for balayage and they agreed and said they could do the work. After they started bleaching my hair, they would open and add more chemicals for over an hour. Even though she noticed my hair was melting she said nothing every time i asked if everything was ok. I spent 6 hours sitting there and at the end she suggested i came back because she knew she had ruined my hair but i didn’t, so I paid… almost $400 just to get home and have chunks of hair in my hands. I cried because it was years worth of work and dedication to my hair and now it was all ruined. I didn’t call them because the least I want is them touching my hair again. I now have shoulder length hair and trying to recover my hair. They did the same to my mom, who came in and got it bleached… why? I don’t know because my mom’s hair is full of greys, then came back 3 weeks after for a touch up and they dyed it back to brown… smh. They really don’t know what theyre doing. I can only recommend not color, balayage or highlights be done here. They’re not trained to work with any type of hair. Save yourself from what happened to me. I debated leaving a review but I think its only fair someone else can benefit from my mistakes of choosing a place like this for something else than a haircut. I hope they do better and if they don’t think they can work on certain type of hair, don’t promise your client just to...
