I don't understand the hype around this place!
I have had Snowflake Tea House in my bookmarks on Yelp for some tine now. I spent the day at Spa Land and wanted some dessert when I left. We arrived at the establishment on a Sunday evening around 9pm. It is easy to find, and surprisingly in the same shopping plaza as Sweet Hut Bakery. I would think that they are direct competitors. However, Snow Flake did not have a shortage of patrons during my visit.
When we walked into the Tea house it was clear that this place is popular. The place was packed! We were greeted by a staff at the front. A staff basically pointed us to a table and another staff came over and placed menus on the table. The service is not anything to recommend. We asked our server about the desserts and he basically said I don’t eat that junk! - he did not say this, However, that’s what it felt like he wanted to say!! Despite his unwillingness to help us decide on what to order, we opted to try the strawberry toast.
I think it took less than 5 minutes for our dessert to arrive at the table. I imagine the desserts are pre made and once you order they just go back and grab the one ordered. It came out too fast to be made to order. The taste- nothing special. I will say if you are looking for something that is not too sweet, this is an option for you. However , for the calories I would prefer something else.
I will also say given that it is a tea house, I should return and give the tea a shot. I might enjoy that more than the dessert.
Overall, I was just not impressed. The decor is a miss, the service is average, and the dessert is basic - despite the presentation being...

I came here with friends for crepes, and the real dish served was chaos. One friend ordered a strawberry crepe with no bananas. Simple enough, right? First plate: full of bananas and had in fact more bananas than the friend who actually wanted them. Second plate: supposedly banana-free, but sure enough, a sneaky slice was lurking inside like it was undercover. At this point I felt like the crepe came with free gaslighting.
Meanwhile, the server was so glued to her phone I felt like I had to send her a push notification just to get noticed. It took multiple tries just to get her attention, and when we finally asked to see the bill, a basic customer right, she flat-out refused to show us a breakdown before charging us. To top it off, there was a random $0.75 “Nutella tax” that no one mentioned beforehand. Apparently Nutella here is treated like a luxury import.
Between the stealth bananas, the invisible bill, the surprise charges, and the server’s undying love for her screen time, this place felt less like a tea house and more like a sitcom — unfortunately, not...

Located in the Gwinnett Station shopping center, this place is right next to Sweet Hut and So Gong Dong Tofu BBQ, which are also pretty new to the area as well. This was once considered a dying shopping center, so it's nice to see new businesses opening up here.
My first visit was during it's opening week and it was packed when I arrived. The place had an interesting smell to it, not sure if that was intended or not, but it was kind of distracting. We were seated without having to wait too long, but it did seem like the staff was a bit undermanned for the amount of customers who were there.
There are tons of options here in terms of desserts and drinks. The non-beverage desserts include ice cream, sweet breads, shaved ice, crepes, and a bit more that I can't recall at the moment. The drinks ranged from milk teas, green/black teas (hot and cold), smoothies and even yogurt. I was surprised by how big the portions were for the drinks. They give more than your average tea house for sure.
Overall for a first time visit, it was a pleasant experience.
