Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Duluth

I went in to grab a few specific items, was in a hurry but thankfully I'm familiar with the layout of the store. I wrapped up this little 'shopping trip' in approximately 5 minutes. 'Awesome'- I think to myself, until I get to the checkout line.... I see {1}-ONE- male cashier who had not a single IOTA of utilizing 'a sense of urgency'! There were a couple of customers in line ahead of me and as this cashier who also-(was on the register BESIDE his own), doing a return on the person {I could tell by her facial/body expressions} SHE was frustrated too! I even asked him as I was in the checkout line if he could get some backup cashier's.... He doesn't even make eye contact with me but says, 'nah. I got it all in control'!?! If I didn't need these 4 items, I seriously was going to just leave it on the counter and go on my way! Luckily, after I heard some back-up ad libs from the other people in line, he magically- put a bit more urgency into cashiering, and I finally was able to pay for my few things & LEAVE! It was my first time going there and I have to say that it was a bad experience. The store is great because everything is at a low price. However, the employees are not helpful and they don’t help you at all. I have to give a shout out to the manager because she has to be one of the worst managers I’ve seen in my life. She is a very mean person and when she saw that I accidentally dropped a pillow she automatically came to me and screamed at me and kicked me out of the store. Another thing is that she also kicked my family out and they didn’t even do anything to deserve to get kicked out. They were just minding their own business and trying to shop peacefully but the manager still kicked them out. Just be careful with the manger she has short orange hair. Overall the store is great but the people that work there especially the manger...

Prices for many items are higher than elsewhere and the store is a mess. Worst of all, it took over 30 mins to chk out with 8-10 people in line bcoz of just one cashier who was very slow too! Can’t you have more cashiers when the line is snaking around? Not coming back here.

Update: I called to ask something and clearly, they picked up and disconnected 3 times!!! 4th time she picked up and didn’t even say hello! I had to ask 2 times if I’m calling Ollie’s and in a faint sleepy voice she said yes. I asked for the items I was looking for and she gave some bs answer. I pressed and she said she’ll chk but came back saying “we no Longer carry” which is bigger bs given that these items were just coming into stores after a recent bankruptcy of another retailer!! Seems like this store needs a better manager to manage the store and...
