My recent visit to Shoeland left me thoroughly disheartened and dismayed by the lack of basic human manners displayed by its employees. While I had initially visited the store with the intention of browsing their selection of footwear, what I encountered was a deeply unsettling experience that has left a lasting impression.
Upon entering the store, I was immediately met with the piercing stares of the employees, whose gaze seemed to linger uncomfortably as I perused the aisles. It quickly became apparent that I was not alone in experiencing this unsettling behavior, as other customers also appeared to be subjected to the same unwelcome scrutiny.
The lack of discretion and respect for personal space demonstrated by the employees was truly alarming. It is a fundamental principle of human interaction to refrain from staring or making others feel uncomfortable, yet this concept seemed lost on the staff at Shoeland. Instead of fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, their behavior served only to alienate and intimidate customers.
Furthermore, the absence of any attempt to acknowledge or assist customers further compounded the negative experience. It is not unreasonable to expect a basic level of courtesy and professionalism from retail employees, yet the staff at Shoeland appeared entirely indifferent to the presence of customers in their store.
In addition to the discomfort caused by the staring, the lack of assistance or engagement from the employees made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority at Shoeland. Instead of providing guidance or answering questions, the staff seemed content to stand idly by, leaving customers to fend for themselves amidst the unsettling atmosphere.
Overall, my experience at Shoeland was deeply disappointing and has left me hesitant to return in the future. While the selection of footwear may be appealing, the blatant disregard for basic human manners exhibited by the employees is simply unacceptable. It is my sincere hope that management will take steps to address these issues and instill a culture of respect and professionalism within the store. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend Shoeland to others seeking a pleasant...
Read moreWe have been customers here for almost 10 years. This pair of shoes we bought couple of months ago and i saved it to wear to my daughters graduation , but when i wore them and walking to the graduation the decor on the sandals just came right off. And that was very disgusting. Today when we came to the store at pleasant hill rd from which we always buy from they were not willing to help us at all unfortunately we don’t have the receipt but they can’t deny that this is not their product. We didn’t even ask for a refund we just asked for an exchange but they totally turned it down. The worst customer service we experienced today. We don’t recommend anyone to buy from them. One of the worst...
