I was holding off on writing a review for this place because I really wanted to like it. It is a convenient drive from my house, they have frequent specials, and it is always packed. Those were factors that kept me from becoming negative but after my experience last week, I am done. Last week I went in on Wednesday because they have a 20% off all services deal. I went after work and requested a pedicure and manicure. I waited more than an hour due to the sale then had to wait another 15min just for them to move me to the manicure table and forget completely about the pedicure I requested. I reminded them about my feet and they said to come back since it was near closing time now and they still had walk ins coming. I had no idea that rush hour for them means rushed and low quality work as well. I got NexGen French nails. The nail tech was working way too fast, barely listening to my requests, and left a hair encapsulated inside the dipping powder. Now, I have a small black hair laying vertically inside of my middle finger. Which I brought to the attention of the nail tech, claimed she didn't see it and immediately started working on another customer. I asked the girl next to me getting her nails done if she could see it and she said that it was obvious and I should ask them to re-do it. When I told the manager he saw the hair immediately, went to go speak to the nail tech and then came back and said he didn't see it anymore and that it must have been a shadow. Don't know how it magically disappeared in his eyes but here is a picture for reference (excuse the dehydrated cuticles...I guess they ran out of cuticle oil for me). The nail tech also worked so fast that she missed the edges of my nails leaving them unfinished and more susceptible to crack. To make matters worse. It is Monday, not even a full week since I got my nails done and all of them are chipped and some fully cracked. I get my nails done monthly. I usually go to different places due to work but I have never ever been to a place that has left me completely speechless in terms of bad quality. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you have gone and you love it I am genuinely happy for you. I tried to love it here but after 4x leaving me with very upsetting and unsatisfying work. I am completely baffled and done. I recommend Epic Nails & Lashes Bar in Grand Prairie if you are able to make the drive. It is a bit on the expensive side but they take their time, leave a high quality finish and my nails lasted a very long time without chipping. Thank you!

I got my nails and pedicure done there on 8/22/23 an hour and a half before closing. They did everything in a rush in less than 40 minutes, the shape was terrible so I had to fix it at home. They didn’t clean my cuticles up right, and I went on a day that is full price. I paid almost $70 for these nails and one was popping off by the weekend it came off by 8/27/23. I’ve been there before but lately the experiences are bad, my nails last less than a week. I’ve been there other times where they spend an hour and a half and do a good job and they last. They don’t put the same quality into their work as they used to. The pedicure wasn’t the best but that’s a story for another day. It is more of an inconvenience to me to go out of my way to get them fixed. I’d understand if it was a super busy day and I went right before closing but I didn’t. To pay $120 plus tip for terrible nails is not it. Save your money and go somewhere else. Update: 8/31/23 4 nails have popped off. 🙂

My first visit. I realize they were extremely busy two days before Mother's Day on Sunday, but no one bothered to greet me. A man, I believe to be the owner, told another woman who asked the difference between gel & regular and he said that gel "lasts until we take it off." I'm already loosing my gel polish and it's only Tuesday. If the Deluxe mani pedi is their best, I pity anyone ordering less. My heels need more filing. Pretty chandeliers. Update: the second photo is from Sunday, May 16th. Nine days after this amazing gel that "lasts until we take it off" I have no gel polish at all. I'm on a working vacay and this mani should not have been negatively effected by what work I did. I haven't used a lot of hot water, either. I needed this manicure to last until at least tomorrow. This is BS. They look terrible, I don't have time for another manicure, & we're meeting with a client tomorrow in the early a.m.

I haven’t been in months and I decided to go for MY BIRTHDAY. First let me say that it takes a lot for me to complain and I have never done a review. However after my experience I feel like I need to. There are a lot of nail places I can go but my mistake was choosing here. I have gone before and have even referred others but I will not refer anyone else here. I will never be back after my experience today. I had an appointment for nails and a pedi with Holly. I showed her a picture and told her what I didn’t want and did want. I even told her the shape I wanted. Everything was discussed prior to starting. I had to stop her from doing the French tip on the wrong two fingers. She then removed the powder halfway off the wrong nail instead of all the way in order to do it correctly. Which left the first color still visible making the correct color incorrect. When asked if she could fix it she got upset. Had she removed it correctly and completely from the start she wouldn’t have had to do it twice. My next issue came up when she tried doing the French tip by painting it and she did not have the same pink matching color. Yes I realize powder and polish will not be exactly the same however the pink should not be completely different. I am not sure why I wasn’t told that they didn’t have the same pink from the beginning. Instead I was expected to have two different pinks on my fingers when it was only suppose to be one pink. During this time of trying to find a matching pink the manager, Sam in front of everyone asked how long I was gonna be because they needed to make another appointment for her. Making it seem as if the amount of time spent on my appointment was my fault. Then he proceeded to say to me in front of everyone “well now she doesn’t have an appointment because they left.” Again making it seem as if it’s my fault. I spent an hour and half just on nails that were done incorrectly including a wrong design, not cleaning the powder under and around nail at the end of the set. As well as leaving the nails too thick and inconsistent on my requested shape. She suggested putting a flower of another color instead of the requested pink French tip and that was done sloppy. By this time I was ready to go. I decided I did not want to continue with a pedicure and took my business somewhere else. Luckily I was able to find someone at American Nail Bar to fix it and to do an amazing pedicure! I have never had such a horrible experience at a nail salon. I gave 1 star because it doesn’t let you...

So I’ve been to this salon 3 times, and I actually like the salon, I like the aurora. However, the 2nd and 3rd time going was not a good experience.

The 2nd time I got a refill on a Wednesday which was 20% off, I felt like the tech was rushing, he barely filed my nails and the nails looked lumpy and old. But I paid $32 before tip, I just chalked it up and said I’d ask for something different next time.

Well I got sent a 20% off text which I now believe they send it to everyone on purpose and I’ll tell you why.. so I get a refill but this time I got French tip, which is what I got on my first visit. The tech did a great job, but at the end, I was overcharged for the service. I was charged $25 for powder, $20 for gel polish, I was charged for FILING, yes you heard that right, filing my nails, which is standard, and I was charged for the French tip shape, which is like the curve of the tip of the nail. The total price after the 20% off was $54, the discount was $14, meaning the refill would’ve been $70! That is the most expensive refill for basic nails I’ve ever seen in all the years I’ve gotten my nails done. They basically charged me for a brand new fresh set of nails. The nail salon I normally go to would not have charged me for filing my nails and mind you they charged me for powder and gel and my usual salon would not charge me for 2 separate nail services when I only got gel French tip. With that being said, despite my tech doing a great job, they took advantage of me for profit. I would’ve become a loyal customer because they are much closer to me than my usual salon but I will not be going back. The 20% off is a gimmick to make you think you’re getting a deal, I’d rather drive the 25 mins to...
